5月下旬にロケ撮影をさせていただいたおふたり。
香港からのお客様で、日本での撮影を大変喜んでいただけました。
そんなおふたりから一通のメールが。
そこには「ロケ撮影の写真がベトナムのサイトに取り上げられたので見てほしい」という内容でした。

こちらがベトナムで紹介されたサイトです。

• メールの最後にはこんな一言が。
  「これを機会にもっとインターナショナルな仕事が増えることを願っています」
• The last sentence of their email said,
  “Hopefully, it will bring you more international business!”

おふたりが日本に来て、そして京都での写真撮影を楽しんでいただき、それを世界の人々に伝えようとしてくださっていることがとても嬉しく、これからもこの京都という土地がたくさんの方々の心に息づく思い出の地となるようサポートさせていただきたいと思っています。

We arranged an on-location wedding photography for one foreign couple end of May.
They were from HongKong and enjoyed the photo shooting in Japan very much.
Recently, we received an email from them which said,
“Our pictures are introduced on the website in Vietnam. Please have a look.”

I was so happy that they enjoyed the photo shooting in Kyoto after traveling all the way to Japan.
And I appreciate that they are sharing their happiness with people in the world.

We received a letter from a couple who had their wedding ceremony performed at the Byron Clark Memorial Hall in Doshisha University on July 6th, 2013.
They wrote us to commemorate their first wedding anniversary.

I could picture the happy couple by just reading their letter which described their daily life.
It made me so happy.

I still remember one scene from the meeting we had with them; the bride was talking happily while the groom was just listening to her story quietly.

“They must be getting along for a long time.” That was what I thought after reading their letter.

We appreciate that they sent us the letter which was full of happiness.

We bought glasses for summer at “Gallery Yukei”.
The gallery is run by a long established inn “Tawaraya”.

These glasses make me feel cool just with their clear looks.
We would like to make LST salon a comfortable place for our guests especially during the hot summer in Kyoto.

明るく素敵な笑顔も2年前と変わらずですが
ふとお子様と向き合う表情は「お母さん」の表情でした。

Ms K visited our office with her child.
We supported her wedding ceremony at Kamigamo Shrine and the reception at “Kodaiji Doi” in October 2012.

Before her visit, she called us in her cheerful voice and said “I’m in Kyoto now. Would you mind if I’m stopping by?”
Her beautiful smile hasn’t changed a bit, but when she faced to her child I could see that she certainly became a mother now.

We had a good time talking each other.
She told me that she and her husband still talked about their wedding ceremony.
We were very happy to know that they sometimes say “We’d love to do the wedding ceremony once again”.

S-sama and M-sama visited our office with “Akafuku” which is a famous local sweet of their home town, Mie Prefecture.
They are going to get married tomorrow.

Thanks for a delicious sweet, S-sama and M-sama.
All the LST staff enjoyed them.

They kept these dolls hanging from the roof of their house to pray for a fine weather on their wedding.
I wish this teru-teru bozu couple will work their magic again, as they did for the photo shooting.

We received a summer gift from “Kinobu”, a restaurant which serves traditional Kyoto cuisine.

They brought us famous “Hamo-zushi (conger pike sushi)” this year again which we enjoyed with all the staff in LST Kyoto.

It is said that famous “Gion matsuri (festival)” was used to be called “Hamo matsuri”, as people often sent “hamo” each other in this season.

Kinobu has been serving traditional Kyoto cuisine for about 70 years over three generations, and their “Hamo-zushi” cannot be found any other places.
Thanks for the delicious summer gift, Kinobu.

先週の土曜日、お天気にも恵まれる中　二条城にて現地相談会を開催致しました。
普段お入りいただくことのできない清流園や香雲亭を
ご案内させていただくのは先月に引き続き2度目になります。

9月に挙式をひかえた新郎新婦様より暑さ対策のご相談を受け
今回は「冷風器」も設置させて頂きました。

起こしくださった新婦様より「衣装は白無垢と決めていたけど、この飾っている打掛も素敵で迷います」のお言葉をいただいたり

お庭師さんからの「誰かにそっと気づいてくれれば…」とさりげないハートの植え込みもご紹介させて頂きました。

こちらをご覧いただけるのも清流園での挙式ならではのおもてなし。

素晴らしい景色につつまれた清流園・香雲亭でのひとときは

Last Saturday, we held a wedding consultancy meeting in Nijo Castle.

It was the second event since we were allowed to bring our guests into Seiryu-en and Koun-tei last month.
These places are not open to the public usually.

We installed the cooling fans as we were consulted by a couple who worried about the heat at their wedding ceremony scheduled in September.

Another bride-to-be who joined the event saw the Uchikake displayed in the room and said,
“I’ve almost decided to wear Shiro-Muku (all white kimono), but I’m not sure now because this Uchikake is so beautiful.”

We introduced the heart shaped hedge to the guests, which a gardener had worked with a little expectation that someone would notice it.
The beautiful view of the garden is surely one of the great advantages of having the wedding ceremony at Seiryu-en.

It will be also a great experience for all the invited guests to attend the ceremony at Koun-tei in Seiryu-en.
A wedding ceremony taken place in such beautiful surroundings will surely remain in their hearts.

We would like to thank all the guests participated in this meeting.
The next “wedding consultancy meeting” will be planned in the middle of August.

Y-sama and O-sama wanted to have simple wedding ceremony and reception with just their family members.

While we were planning their wedding, they came up with an idea and said,
“We would like to do something fun so that our nieces and nephews won’t get bored…”

So they decided to do small sized “Kagami Biraki”.
They wished good luck and happiness for all the family members!

Usually, you will find sake in the barrel, but this time we put numbered pieces of paper in it.
Every guest drew a piece from the barrel and they got a present for the number from the bride and groom.

They tried very hard to prepare the reception so that their precious family members can enjoy it.
They made plans with everyone’s smiling faces in their mind.

And they told us that they received lots of praises about the reception from their family.

I hope they will experience many happy events in the future as well and build a happy family.
We wish them a life-long happiness!

昨日、3年前の6月11日にご結婚式をあげられたY様ご夫妻が、LSTにお越しくださいました。
Y様ご夫妻は、毎年結婚記念日にご家族でLSTにお顔を見せに来て下さっており、
今年で3回目になります。
去年は、私が育児休暇中だったためお会いすることができなかったので
お会いするのは2年ぶりでした。
初めてお会いするお子様の梓ちゃんも1歳になっており、
わんぱく動きたい盛りで元気いっぱい。とっても可愛かったです。
私の娘と梓ちゃんは、なんと誕生日が10日違い。
働くママとして共感できることがたくさんあり、お話しは尽きませんでしたね。
色々と縁を感じるY様ご夫妻とこうして、結婚〜子育てのお話までできるとは、
嬉しいかぎりです。

毎年LSTにお越しいただく前に、式をあげられた豊国神社に参拝され
披露宴をあげられたレストランむとうにてお食事をされてから
お越し下さるのですが、今年はレストランが定休日でお食事が
できなかったということでレストランむとうのケーキをご用意させて頂きました！
とっても喜んでいただけて、私たちも嬉しかったです！

また昨日お帰りになられたあと、こんな素敵なお写真もお送り下さいました。

メールには、「この1年、仕事も復帰したので本当に時間に追われる毎日で、正直結婚式の準備をしていたあの日の事や、結婚式の日の事を思い出す事はほとんど無いですけど、こうやって結婚記念日に訪れる度に、あの日を思い出す日が年に1日あるだけで、あの日を始まりに今があるんだなとちょっとキラキラした気持ちになりました。」と素敵なお言葉が。
結婚記念日をこうして大切にされているY様ご夫妻のお気持ち、本当に素敵です。

また来年、お逢いできるのを楽しみにしていますね！

Yesterday, Mr.and Mrs.Y who had got married on June 11th three years ago visited LST office.
They came to see us on their wedding anniversary every year, and this was the third time.

I could not see them last year as I was on maternal leave, so I met them for the first time in two years.
Their daughter, Azusa turned already 1 year old and moved around actively. She was so cute.
My daughter and Azusa’s birthday are so close, they are just 10days apart.
And as we have so much in common as working mothers, we could not stop chit-chatting for a long time.
It was fun to talk about marriage and child-raising with Mr. and Mrs. Y.

Every year, before they came to LST, they visited TOYOKUNI Shrine where they had got married,
and then had lunch at the restaurant “MUTO” where they had held their wedding reception.
However yesterday was the regular holiday of the restaurant and they couldn’t visit there.
So, we prepared some cakes from MUTO and it made a nice surprise for them.
Their happy faces made us happy too.

Later, she wrote us an email with lovely photos.

The email said “For the past one year, I’ve been so busy every day as I had returned to work.
Honestly speaking, I rarely recall our wedding ceremony or the days we were preparing for it.
But each time when we visited you on our anniversary, it reminded me of our wedding day which was the beginning of our new life.
And it made me feel very happy.”

I think it’s wonderful that Mr. and Mrs. Y value the wedding anniversary highly.
We are looking forward to seeing them again next year!

梅雨入り前の5月下旬　新緑美しい京都で1組の新郎新婦様のロケーション撮影をさせていただきました。

実は香港からお越しになられたお二人。
5月中旬、「日本・京都への旅行を考えいるので、ウエディングフォトが撮れないか？」とメールをいただきました。
約2週間英語でのメールのやり取りを重ね、京都でのロケーション撮影が実現しました！
日本語をお話になられないお二人が安心して当日をお迎えいただけるよう、衣装スタイリストや、スタッフ、カメラマン、ドライバー等は英語でコミュニケーションがとれるよう手配させていただき、撮影ではお二人とスタッフの間に笑顔が絶えることがなかったです。
幸せの気持ちは万国共通ですね。

香港へ帰国された新郎様からも「とても楽しかった！」と大満足のご様子のメールをいただきとても嬉しかったです。

お二人がLSTを見つけてくださったご縁に感謝いたします。
そして、これを機会にもっと日本、そして京都を好きになってくださっていたら幸いです。

One day in late May, just before the rainy season started, we had on location photography of one couple prior to their wedding.

They traveled from Hong Kong.
In the middle of May, we received an email from them asking “Can we have our wedding photography while we will be traveling in Kyoto?”
After two weeks of email correspondence, they finally realized on location photography in Kyoto!
As neither of them spoke Japanese, we made sure to have English speaking staff including a stylist, photographer, driver and planners.
Of course, the feeling of happiness is something in common around the world.

After they returned to Hong Kong, the groom said “We had a very good time!” in his email to us.
I was so happy to hear that.

I want to thank them for finding us.
And I would be so happy if they have come to like Kyoto and Japan more and more through this experience.
