This wonderful card was been sent by the couple I have supported one day.
八重島諸島を巡っている途中、竹富島からのお便りでした。
It was a card from TAKETOMI island during the trip of YAESHIMA islands.
消印にもしっかりと「沖縄竹富島」の文字と沖縄独特の集落の様子が描かれており、とっても素敵な絵葉書きに感激です!!
そして、何よりもお2人のゆっくり特別な時間に、わざわざ私へのお便りの為筆をとって頂いたことが本当に嬉しかったです。
The letter “OKINAWA TAKETOMI island” written on the postmark and the picture of the village peculiar to the Okinawa made me very glad!!
Also, it was happy to know that they have written to me during their relaxing and special time.
竹富島は一度も訪れた事はないのですが、お2人の「今度ぜひご主人と出掛けてみてください」の文字と絵葉書きに映る素晴らしい景色のおかげで、ぜひ行ってみたい場所になりました。
I have never been to Taketomi island, but the scene drawn on the card and the words from the couple, “If you have an opportunity, please go with husband” made the Taketomi island as my next place to visit.

こちらの葉をご存知ですか。
Do you know this plant?
「双葉葵」。
葵の森と称される上賀茂神社では「二葉葵」と記されます。
This is “FUTABA-AOI”
At the Kamigamo shrine which is called as a forest of AOI, the kanji of “FUTA” is written like this “ニ”
ハート型の葉を対極に2枚つける由縁より
「ふたばあおい」とよばれるこの葉は
「合う日（あおひ）」ともよばれ
ご縁を結ぶ象徴でもあるといわれます。
As this plant has two heart shaped leaves on the each way, that it is also called “the day of meeting”, and it is a symbol of tying good match.
時を経て希少となってきた 二葉葵。
As the day pass on, the number of FUTABA-AOI has decreased and it became rare to see.
ぜひ一度 上賀茂神社にて足元に目を向けてみてはいかがでしょうか。
When you go to Kamigamo shrine, please watch carefuly at the way you walk.

先日、上賀茂神社さんの皆様とお食事をご一緒させて頂きました。
One day, I went to have a dinner with staffs of Kamigamo shrine.
日々のお客様からのお声や、現在上賀茂神社にて行われております
式年遷宮についてお話をさせて頂きました。
神社の皆様の「新郎新婦様やご列席様方に、より良いお時間をお過ごし頂けるように」というお気持ちを
とても感じ、歴史深き上賀茂神社にてご結婚式のお手伝いをさせて頂いている事に、改めて感謝するお時間となりました。
We heard the story about “SHIKINEN-SENGU” which is now taken placed, and the voices from customers.
I have felt the strong feeling of the Kamigamo shrine staffs’ “may bride and groom and their guests spend a very wonderful time”
and it was a very special moment for us to feel afresh of the gratitude which we could support the wedding ceremony in such a historical Kamigamo shrine.
来年8月より本殿の修復作業が行われ、国の重要文化財にも登録されております
「細殿」での挙式が始まります。
古くは天皇陛下の行在所、着到殿として使用されてきた細殿での挙式は、
平成24年8月〜平成27年12月迄行われる予定でございます。
この期間を過ぎると次に細殿での挙式が行われるのは、約50年後との事。
本殿での挙式とはまた一味違った、厳かな上賀茂神社でのひとときをお過ごし頂ける事と存じます。
From next August, the HONDEN where the god sleep, is going to be restored, so the wedding ceremony would be held at HOSODONO which is registerated as Japan’s important cultural property.
The HOSODONO was used as an Emperor’s ANZAIJYO, CHAKUTODEN(which is a temporary palace for an Emperor) in old days, and you could held your ceremony at HOSODONO from August 2012 to December 2017.
After this period, next time you could held the ceremony at HOSODONO would be about 50 years later.
I think you could spend a solemn moment at Kamigamo Shrine, which is different from the ceremony at HONDEN.

365日一日一日、その日のお花、誕生日花があるのはご存知でしょうか。
「誕生花」の決め方は必ずしも一つだけではなく、
開花時期にあわせた日付や、お店でよく見かけられるシーズンに
合わせた日付が多いようです。
Did you know that there are the flower of the day or birthday flower in every 365 days?
The birthday flower is not only selected by one kind, but also the date which fit to the bloom and the date which you could see the flowers.
今日8月19日の誕生日花もいくつかありますがその中の一つが
「金水引」キンミズヒキ!!その名の通りのお花です。
So there are many birthday flowers in one day, but one of the flower of the birthday flower of today, August 19th is KINMIZUHIKI!!
(Agrimonia pilosa)
(or it also means gold-leaf-coated twisted paper)
水引ときき、ウエディングプランナーというお仕事をさせて頂いている今、
パッと思い浮かぶのはご結婚式のご祝儀袋や引菓子・引出物に
かかっている紅白の水引。
実はこの水引は金水引をみたてたものと由来があります。
When you hear MIZUHIKI, as I oneself are working as a wedding planner, I would visualize the red and white colored mizuhiki, Japanese decorated cord made from twisted paper which is decorated on the SHUGIBUKURO(an envelope for presenting a gift of money), and thank-you-for-coming gifts.
Actually, this MIZUHIKI takes its origin from KINMIZUHIKI.
その歴史はさかのぼり古くは遣隋使・小野妹子の時代。
隋からの帰国した際に持ち帰った贈り物に、紅白に染められた麻紐が
結ばれており、これが宮廷で大変喜ばれ、贈り物に結ぶようになり、
広まっていったようです。
Its history is very long time ago that it is in the KENZUI-SHI(a Japanese envoy to Sui Dynasty China) ONONO IMOKO era.
On the gift which he brought back from Sui dynasty, the red and white colored hemp thread was been tied, and this made people of the court rejoiced.
Then they themselves tied it to their gift and then it spread.
相手への敬意や感謝をカタチに表す事はこの時代から
あったことなのですね。
小さなお花にも意味があり、由来がある。
この歴史を知り、『感謝の気持ち』という花言葉にも納得です。
Making the feeling of respect and gratitude to someone into shape were existed from this age.
Even the small flowers have meaning and have its origin.
As I get to know this history, the language of flower of KINMIZUHIKI “the feeling of gratitude” is satisfactory.
決して華やかでは無く、目立たないお花ですが何だかこの金水引に
とても惹かれました。
I was very attracted to this never too gorgeous and never standing out flower, KINMIZUKI.
皆様も大切な方のお誕生日や記念日などのお花を調べ
お部屋に飾ってみたり、プレゼントしてみてはいかがでしょうか。
何だか少し特別な気持ちになると思います。

先日ご結婚式のサポートへ料亭左阿彌さんへ行かせて頂きました。
その際、お部屋の片隅にこんな素敵なものを見つけました。
One day, I went to Ryotei SAAMI to support a wedding reception.
Then, I found this wonderful thing at the corner of the room.
葉っぱを活けられたのは左阿彌さんの料理長、そして鶴と亀の入れ物を作られたのは左阿彌さんの料理人さんたちとの事。
よく見ると、この鶴と亀はかぼちゃで作られております。
The one who arranged the leaves was the chief of the cook, and the one who made the case with crane and turtle craved were the cook of the SAAMI.
If you look closely, this crane and turtle are made with pumpkin.
とても繊細で細かな曲線に、左阿彌さんのお料理人さんがお料理を作られるときのきめ細やかなお気持ちが手に取るように感じました。
I could know that the cook have delicate and neat feeling when they do the coking from its fine and delicate curved line.
そして季節ごとに変わる絵柄のクッションが置かれたロビーには、こんな涼しげなお飾りが。
このお皿の絵を描かれたのは、左阿彌さんの女将さん。
And in the lobby where the cushion which changes its cover from season to season, there were this decoration which you could feel the coolness.
The drawing on this dish was drawn by mistress of SAAMI.
目立つ事はないが、お部屋の片隅に飾られた左阿彌さんのおもてなしの心。
お料理や景色だけでなく、多方面から京都や風情を感じて頂ける工夫をされておられます。
暑さ厳しい日が続いておりますが一時暑さを忘れる事ができる、そんな空間となっております。
The OMOTENASHI spirit of SAAMI which is decorated at the corner of the room and which do not stand out.
They are contriving not only in cuisine and the scereny but also various direction in order to make their guests feel Kyoto and atmosphere.
It is such a space where you could forget the summer heat.
また来月には、秋のしつらえになるのでしょうか。
ご結婚式、またお下見へお越し頂きました際にはどんなお飾りで皆様をお出迎えされますか、ぜひ隅々までご覧下さいませ。
In the next month, I think it would change it to autumn color.

新郎様がお仕事で洋酒の輸入販売に携わっていらっしゃって、こちらのシャンパンもお取り扱いをなされていらっしゃるとの事。
普段は飲む機会の少ないシャンパン。
「いつ飲もうかな。」と考える時間が楽しいです。
そんな楽しい時間をふくめてプレゼントして頂いたこと、とても嬉しいです。ありがとうございました。
It was Champagne!
The groom’s work is to import western liquor from abroad, and that he deals in this champagne too.
There is few opportunity to drink champagne.
The time I think when to drink is very fun.

同封頂いたお手紙の中には、京都の旅とご披露宴を満喫なされたとのこと、

そんなお言葉を励みに日々精進してまいりたいと思います。
It is a great pleasure that we could have a contact from a participants after the wedding.
Mr and Mrs Hayashi is from Fukuoka, so on the wedding day, they came from afar.
In the letter, it said that they have enjoyed the travel in Kyoto and that they enjoyed the reception, and also, the words of encouragement to us in a very neat words.
We would work harder with this words in our mind.

お祝いごとの際、よく目にする「寿」という字。
In Japan, you would often see the kanji “寿” in any kind of congratulations.
「ことほぎ（言祝ぐ）」という語が変化してできた
「寿」という文字には
「祝いの言葉を述べる事」という意味が込められています。
In the kanji “寿” which transformed into its shape from the words “ことほぎ（言祝ぐ）”has a meaning of “to tell congratulaion.”
「おめでとう」という想いが形になってできた文字。
It is a letter which changed its shape to tell congratulation.
また時を経て「長寿」という意味も深く込められた文字なので
私は「ありがとう」の想いも含まれていると思っています。
Also, this kanji has a meaning of “long life” so I think the words has a meaning of “thank you” too.
温かい心が形になった「寿」という一文字を
何気なく書いたりするのでなく
語源を心にとめて用いていこうと思います。
The letter “寿” is a word which changed its shape from the feeling of warm heart, so I would use the word with thinking about its meaning.

本日とてもかわいいスタジオ撮影がありました。
Today, we have a very cute photgraphy at photograph studio.
ご結婚の際に、式をあげられなかったお二人が
ドレスを着てお写真だけでも・・とのことで撮影にお越し下さいました。
お二人には2歳の可愛い女の子のお子様がいらっしゃり
お子様もドレスを着て、家族3人でのショットは
何とも言えない微笑ましいものでした。
In their marriage, the couple could not have their ceremony to be held, so they came to have a photography with them dressed in wedding gown.
They have a very cute 2 years old daughter, and she also dressed up and had their memorial photography, the photography were so adorable.
お子様のワンショット。
とても2歳とは思えないくらい、しっかりとポーズをきめて
抜群の笑顔でカメラに向いてくれました。
This is their child’s photography.
She is only 2 years old, but she has made a great pose and beautiful smile to camera.
20年後、きっと今日のように笑顔いっぱいの美しい花嫁様に
なられることでしょうね。
20 years after from today, she should be a beautiful bride who has a beautiful smile like this day.

Today, LST Tokyo salon held a an event of Japanese traditional wedding outfit, traditional wedding wig, and hair arrangement experience.
たくさんの新郎新婦様、ならびにお母様とお父様にご一緒にご来店頂き
お鬘と洋髪のアレンジをご体験頂きました
Many brides and grooms, and their mothers and fathers had joined this event
京都でサポートさせて頂いております美容のスタイリストと
ご相談されながらご体験頂いておりましたが
カメラで撮影されているご様子や聞こえてくる皆様の笑い声等
本当に楽しそうで、私たちスタッフもついつい楽しくなって参りました
Brides has experienced the traditional Japanese wig and hair arrangements with the make-up artist who actually supports at Kyoto, and the way they were taking pictures and the laughter that could be heard was very fun, that we staff also became fun
また当日もこのようにご家族様に温かく見守られて
お式を挙げられるのだなと思うとその瞬間に立ち会えたような気がして
心が温かくなりました
As seeing these situations, it made me think that I am standing at the moment of the wedding day when brides would be warmly watched by her families, and that it made my heart warm
ご心配であられたヘアスタイルも皆様笑顔でお帰り頂けましたので
