Have you walked through “CHINO-WA” which are set in many Shinto shrines around Japan at this time of the year?
It is the ceremony to purify the impurities of the first half year and praying for the health and safety for another half year.
In Japan, there are many events and ceremonies like this which provide us an opportunity to thank god and appreciate nature’s blessing.
At Kamigamo Shrine, a ceremony of “OHARAE” will be taken place from 20:00 on June 30th, Friday.
We did a video shooting at Kifune shrine today.
When we walked in the premises, I could hear the sound of the stream and beautiful music of the birds. I saw a sacred tree and felt the power which filled the site.
The Shinto priest explained the history and the origin of the shrine to us. He also told us that Japanese people had been worshipping and coexisting with nature since ancient times, and he taught us the spirit of Japanese that have been long valued.
We really appreciate for such a precious opportunity.
All the staff at LST are really grateful.
I cannot wait for the day when we are able to show the movie to everyone.
We hosted a wedding consultation meeting with an inspection tour at Doshisha University on June 25th.
We could hear the guests saying “I feel so nostalgic.”
At the chapel of Doshisha University which is designated as an important cultural property, you cannot have an flashy wedding, but you can have an authentic, solemn wedding ceremony with religious service.
It will surely touch the hearts of all the guests, needless to say the ones of bride and groom.
We, LST staff, will try our utmost effort to make it the couple’s happiest day in their life.
We received many “clients’ report” from the couple who had got married with our service.
I would like to introduce a few photos of my client couple who had their wedding ceremony at Shimogamo Shrine and held a wedding reception at Saami ryoutei restaurant.
Doi’s special “napkin” folded in the shape of “happi (=traditional livery)”. One of our staff tried to fold it with a waitress.
土井さん、素敵なお時間をありがとうございました。
LST WEDDING N
DINNER AT GION DOI
We went to have dinner at Gion Doi with all the LST staff.
“Kaiseki-Ryouri (dinner for banquet)” were served on the beautiful plates and they were so delicious.
We visited Kifune Shrine to prepare the photography planned next week. A god of water is enshrined there.
The rain, typical weather in rainy season, made the green more beautiful.
A Shinto priest told me a precious story and I’m really looking forward to the photography session.
The flowers at LST Kyoto Salon were changed.
This time we had a flower of Summer “Gladiolus” with “Dendrobium”, “Raspberry”, “Dracaena”, “Anthurium” and “Monstera”.
Flowers reminded me of the change of the seasons.
And it gives me a moment that I can feel my mind is soothed in busy everyday life.
