On January 9th, “LST Oatsurae Salon” was newly opened.
At this salon, we offer our clients a big collection of Kimonos and accessories from which they can choose to wear at their wedding.
It is located next to LST Kyoto office.
We have already received favorable comments from our clients such as,
“It was fun to choose kimonos among the big collection. I enjoyed trying different designs.”
“It was nice to visit here, as I could have a clearer image of my wedding.”
“I tried wigs for kimono style for the first time. I was happy to find that I looked nice with a wig.”
It was our great pleasure to see that our clients enjoyed preparing their wedding.

昨日2年前にご結婚式のサポートをさせて頂きました伊瀬知様ご夫妻が
LSTサロンにお越しくださいました。
昨年はお二人で一周年の記念にお越しいただいたのですが、
今回はなんと！
半年前に女児をご出産され、3名様でお越しいただきました。
りたちゃんにとって初めての京都デビューだそうです。
「バカ親なんです〜」とより一層目を細められ、笑顔になられるご主人様
「親バカ」を通り越したんだそうです・笑
「もうオシャレができなくなって…」とおっしゃられていましたが
私にはご夫婦仲睦まじく りたちゃんをお育てになられている姿が
何より素敵に感じました。
また 1年後…りたちゃんの成長した姿を楽しみにしていますね。

Mr. & Mrs. Isechi who got married with our service two years ago visited LST salon yesterday.
They also came to see us on their first wedding anniversary last year.
This year, they were with their little daughter!
Rita-chan was born about six months ago and it was her first visit to Kyoto.
“I’m a ‘BAKA OYA'” said Mr. Isechi with a big smile.
We call the parents who are blindly in love with their own child “OYA BAKA”, but he claimed that he was worse than it and named himself “BAKA OYA” instead.
They told me “we cannot care our appearance so much any more…”
But for me, the way they dedicated themselves to raise Rita-chan looked so attractive.
I’m looking forward to seeing grown-up Rita-chan next year again.

今週はお正月休みも明け、普段の生活リズムへと戻られた方々も多いのではないでしょうか？
昨日は人日の節句、七草粥をお召しになられた方もいらっしゃることと存じます。

I suppose most people have returned to their normal life after the New Year’s holidays by now.
Yesterday was a “Jinjitsu no sekku” (sekku = seasonal festival), so many of you might have eaten “Nanakusa gayu”.
(“Nanakusa gayu” = The rice porridge with the seven herbs of spring eaten on January 7th)
I also had “Nanakusa gayu” with my family, so that we can spend the new year in good health.
I believe preparing to follow such traditional and seasonal ritual gives us a good opportunity to think about our past or future in our busy everyday life.

Today, we made a new year’s visit to Kamigamo shrine for the prayers.
The special prayer which was taken place at the “Honden” in the solemn atmosphere made us aware of the beginning of the new year.
It’s always a great honor and pleasure for us to support planning precious events like the wedding ceremony.
Keeping the sense of gratitude for “goen(=fate) with the clients” in our mind, we will make our maximum effort to provide the best service to all the couples.

A Happy New Year!
We received many greeting cards from our clients this year as well.
We were very happy to find many cards with photos of the wedding ceremony, the honeymoon trip or the smiles of children.
And we could find lots of messages like “I’ll be mom in spring” “We’ve got the second child” “We enjoyed our honeymoon trip to Hawaii” “We went to Mauritius island in the Indian Ocean”.
Thanks to these happy messages, we made a good start of the new year.
We are very happy that we’ve had so many people coming to our Kyoto & Tokyo office today for the consultation of the wedding plan.

さらりと書かれた一言に、大人の女性の品格とたしなみを感じずにはいられません。
さりげなく添えた文字で人の心を動かすとは！
一歩でも近づけるよう、来年は私も美文字ブームに乗っかって精進してまいります。
さて本日は、LSTも仕事納め。

We got a present of chopsticks from a calligrapher who often works for our clients.
The packages of the chopsticks are decorated with “mizuhiki”, the traditional motives for the auspicious occasion.
They are too pretty to be used. I will use them for the New Year’s feast.
The letter enclosed with the present was so beautifully written and represents her gracefulness and modesty.
I was so impressed by the fact that the letters could really touch the heart of others.
I’ll try to improve my writing next year as “calligraphy” is getting popular now.
Today is the last business day at LST.
At Tokyo office, we have prepared to welcome a new year.
We are looking forward to serving for many guests in next year as well, at Marunouchi-Tokyo salon where you can enjoy the beautiful illumination.

お客様が、左阿彌さんにお食事にお越しくださいました。
- 2010年5月に母校である同志社大学で挙式、料亭左阿彌さんでご披露宴をされました
- They got married at Doshisha University where they had graduated. They held a wedding reception at Saami ryoutei restaurant.
- 洋介さま、麻友子さま、お子さまの賢人くん。本日1歳の誕生日、おめでとう！
- Yosuke-sama, Mayuko-sama and their son, Kento-kun. Happy 1st birthday!
- 麻友子さまのご友人とお食事にお越しで、ドイツから新婚旅行に日本にお越しだそうです。お二人も熱心に英語で懐石料理のご説明をされていました
- With Mayuko-sama’s friends from Germany who were on their honeymoon. Mayuko-sama and Yosuke-sama explained the dishes heartily in English.
ご結婚式が終えた後も、何度も左阿彌さんにお越しいただいています。
あれから、3年の月日は本当に早いですね。
ご結婚前から、お変わりなく、素敵なパパとママでいらっしゃいました。
本日は本当にお会いでき、嬉しかったです！

They came back to Saami many times after their wedding.
It has been three years since they got married. Time flies so fast!
Both haven’t changed a bit though, they look great; cool mom and dad.

先日、料亭左阿彌さんの従業員さんの、最後のお勤めの日でしたので、
LSTスタッフでご挨拶にいかせていただきました。
門番のHさん。
初めてお会いしたのは約10年前。
御年80歳をこえたHさんは朝の御玄関のお掃除から、お客様のお出迎えなどを
されていました。
わたしがまだLSTに勤めて1年目くらいだったと思います。
その頃は、料亭さんでの結婚式もまだ世間でも、さほど知られていなく、
私自身、歴史ある老舗料亭さんでお仕事をさせていただいているということで、
とても緊張をしていました。
そんなときに、いつも優しくお声掛けくださった、Hさん。
「おはようさん」
「今日はいい天気やなー」
「風が冷たいなー」
「桜が咲いてきたな〜」
「紅葉が色づいてきたな〜」
「いつも、おおきに」
他愛のないお話をたくさんさせていただきました。
LSTスタッフにとって、Hさんはかけがえのない存在でした。
本当にありがとうございました。
お疲れ様でございました。
Hさんの、左阿彌さんの門前でお客様をお出迎えされるお姿、
お見送りされるお姿、忘れません。

We visited Saami ryoutei restaurant the other day to see Mr. H who retired his job on that day.
Mr. H, who is over 80years old, had been a gate keeper at Saami.
He started his job sweeping around the gate in the morning and greeted guests every day.
It was about 10years ago, when I met him for the first time.
I worked for LST just for one year or so, and I was very nervous to do my job at such a famous ryoutei restaurant.
Back then, the wedding at traditional ryoutei restaurant was not generally known.
Mr. H always talked to me with his tender smile.
“Good morning.”
“It’s a nice weather today, isn’t it?”
“The wind is chilly.”
“The cherry blossoms are starting to bloom!”
“The Autumn leaves are getting colors.”
“Thank you for your visit always.”
I always enjoyed chitchatting with him.
You were very special to all the LST staff.
Thank you.
We’ll never forget your figure standing by the gate to greet or to send the guests.

いつも大変お世話になっている「京料理さくらい」さんから、
東京店にまでお歳暮が届きました。
丁寧に包まれた素敵な箱を、スタッフ一人一人にお送りくださり、

帰宅後早速、土鍋でお米を炊いて、ホカホカごはんにのせて頂きました。

電話でお話しするだけでも幸せな気持ちにさせてくださる京料理さくらいの女将さん。
女将さんの温かなお心遣いがたくさん詰まっている気がして、

Sakurai ryoutei restaurant kindly sent a seasonal gift even to the Tokyo office.
We were so impressed with beautifully wrapped box which were addressed to each one of us.
As soon as I got home, I cooked rice and ate it with these.
It tasted wonderfully good and made me so happy.
I could feel warm-heartedness of the madam of Sakurai through this present.
When I talk to her over the phone, her pretty voice always gives me a pleasant feeling.
I’m so pleased that we could work with them in many opportunities this year.
Thank you for your cooperation, Sakurai.
