そして新郎様はインドネシアよりスカイプにてお打ち合わせを重ねてまいりました。
実際にお会いするのは、半年ぶりでしたが
お元気そうなご様子を拝見し、嬉しく思いました。
挙式は来月、八坂神社さんにて。
北は北海道、南は台湾よりお越しくださるゲストの方々にも
楽しんで頂けるよう、ご準備頑張ってまいりましょうね。

These are the souvenirs from Mr.and Mrs. O who visited us to have a meeting to prepare their wedding ceremony last weekend.
All of them are with tropical flavor.
Actually, the groom is currently living in Indonesia for his work.
So each time when we had a meeting, the bride, Mrs. O who lives in Kansai came to LST salon and Mr.O joined the meeting via Skype from Indonesia.
I saw Mr.O in person for the first time after six months and he looked great.
Their wedding ceremony will be performed at Yasaka shrine next month.
Mr.and Mrs.O, let’s make the great wedding ceremony with us for both you and your guests who are traveling all the way from Hokkaido in the north and from Taiwan in the south.

8月2日 LST東京店で和装鬘体験会を開催いたしました。
毎回人気のフェアですが、今回もご予約満席となり、たくさんのお客様にご参加いただきました。
挙式当日の衣装として実際にお召いただくこともできる上質な衣装。
松・梅・鶴などおめでたい柄の刺繍が見事！
大変豪華な色打掛をご用意いただきました。
- まずは白無垢からご試着。
新郎様はカメラマンに徹していらっしゃいます。
- For the first fitting, she chose “Shiromuku (all white kimono)”.
The groom-to-be was like a photographer.
- 続いて色打掛をご試着。
新郎様は撮影に夢中。
- Next, she tried “Iro-Uchikake”.
The groom-to-be devoted himself to taking the photos.
- 和装鬘体験ですが、洋髪をお試しいただくこともできます。
想像以上に楽しい体験となったようで、新婦様もお喜びのご様子でした。
- At this event, you can also try the Western style hair arrange.
It seemed that she enjoyed this event very much.
京都で実際に婚礼美容を担当しているスタッフに直接ご相談いただける貴重な機会。
今回ご参加のみなさまは、鬘が似合うかご不安だったり、ご自分の髪で日本髪を結いたいけれど髪の長さが足りるか相談したかったり、様々なご不安やご心配ことを相談されました。
不安がなくなると、ご自分らしさや好みが明確になり、ますます当日が楽しみになります。
皆様とても有意義なお時間となったようです。
おかげさまで、プランナーも楽しく充実した1日となりました。

On August 2nd, We held a trial fitting event of Japanese kimonos and wigs at our Tokyo branch.
This event is always quite popular and it was booked out with lots of participants this time as well.
All the kimonos prepared for the event were with high quality and they could be worn at the real wedding ceremony.
The Iro-Uchikake with the embroidery of auspicious motives such as “MATSU (pine tree)” “UME (plum)” and “TSURU (crane)” was really gorgeous and beautiful.
This event was also a rare opportunity that you could consult directly with our staff who is in charge of the make up and the costumes in Kyoto.
The participants were asking various questions to our staff;
“Would the wig suit me?”
“Could you arrange my own hair in Japanese style? Is my hair length enough for that?”
After getting answers to the questions, they could have clearer image of their ideal wedding ceremony. And they must be really looking forward to it.
We were very happy to see that they enjoyed the event very much.
And we, the planners, could share the good time with our guests as well.

今秋に南禅寺さんでご結婚式のサポートをさせていただきますため
本日は、南禅寺さんへお下見に伺いました。
南禅院と慈氏院という二つの挙式場を見学させていただきました。
学生のころに観光に訪れたことはありますが建物の中に入るのは初めての経験。
自然な緑と融合した美しさ、落ち着いた雰囲気を感じることができました。
- 「だるま寺」として信仰を集められている慈氏院
- Jishi-in is has been worshipped as “Daruma-dera”.
- 南禅寺水路閣
- “Nanzenji Suirokaku” (-a canal bridge)
ご結婚式のころには紅葉が美しく、また新しい景色が映し出されることを想うと、少し先のことですがより一層楽しみです。

I made a preliminary inspection to “Nanzenji Temple” today, as we will support a wedding ceremony there this Autumn.
I visited two places; “Nanzen-in” and “Jishi-in” where they perform wedding ceremonies.
This was the first time for me to enter the building although I visited “Nanzenji Temple” when I was a student.
I was impressed with its beauty harmonized with the natural green and the calm atmosphere.
There must be a lot of red and yellow leaves when our client couple will get married.
I’m really looking forward to seeing another beautiful scenery of “Nanzenji Temple” then.

昨日ご婚礼をなされた新婦様の祖母様より頂きました「鶴」と「亀」の見事な和菓子。
伊賀名物の「おしもん」という伝統和菓子です。
伊賀の地で百余年、お菓子一筋に取り組まれてこられた名店のお品を拝見すると、
新婦様のご結婚式…この日を楽しみにお迎えになられた祖母様の想いが
伝わります。
「鶴は千年、亀は万年」と言われ、めでたいものの1つとされています。
鶴は古来より 夫婦仲が大変良く一生を連れ添うことから「夫婦鶴＝めおとづる」といわれて「めでたい鳥」として尊ばれてきました。
「亀は万年」と言われて、鶴とともに「長寿を象徴する吉祥の動物」とされ、めでたい生き物として尊ばれています。
祖母様の想いをうけて晴れてご夫婦となられたＮ様ご夫妻、
きっと夫婦鶴のように いつまでも仲良く 幸せな家庭を
築いていかれることと存じます。

A grandmother of the bride who got married yesterday gave me the beautiful sweets shaped a crane and a turtle.
It is called “OSHIMON”, a traditional sweets in IGA region.
She ordered the sweets from the famous shop which has been in business over 100 years to celebrate her grandchild’s wedding.
She must have been really looking forward to this happy day.
Cranes and turtles have been believed as lucky animals.
Cranes are regarded as a symbol of the good marriage as
they will be together for life with only one partner.
And both turtles and cranes are the symbols of longevity and good fortune.
It is said “Cranes live for a thousand years and turtles live for ten thousand years”.
I believe Mr. and Mrs. N will make a happy family for a life time like a crane couple as the grandmother hopes.

本日、雲一つない青空のもとで
ご結婚式をサポートさせていただきました。
真言宗智山派総本山と称される智積院にて
沢山の列席者に祝福され1組の
新ご夫妻様が誕生いたしました。
事前にお下見やリハーサルをしっかりされた上で当日を迎えられたお二人。
冷暖房が整っており、景色がきれいなところで式を挙げたいとの想いのもと
お選びになられました。
よく寺院で見かけるこのカラフルな布は仏旗といい
仏教を象徴するものだそうです。
智積院さんの場合「緑・黄・赤・白・紫」といった旧来の色を使用されています。
さすが創建400年以上の歴史ある寺院ですね。
紅葉も少しですが色づいてるようでした。
緑が美しく、空の青さとマッチした智積院でのお二人はとても素敵でした。

There was a wedding ceremony under the cloudless blue sky.
They became man and wife cerebrated by many guests at “Chishakuin” which is the head temple of the Chisan School of the Shingon sect of Buddhism.
They carefully inspected the venue and prepared well for the day. They chose Chishakuin as it was fully air-conditioned and they also liked its beautiful appearance.
The colorful cloth which can be found at some temples are called “Bukki” and they are symbols of the Buddhism.
At Chishakuin which has more than 400 years history, the five authentic colors, “green, yellow, red, white and purple” were used for their Bukki.
I found some leaves already started changing the colors a little.
The couple looked great with the beautiful green of the garden and the clear blue sky in their background.

14日、陸さまと紀子さまが二条城にてロケ撮影を行われました。
普段はお入りいただけない、
清流園と香雲亭の特別な空間を貸し切って、
ゆったりと撮影を行っていただけました。
心配していた雨も、丁度、撮影のときには止んで、
お二人を祝福しているかのようでした。
撮影にはご家族様もご同行いただきありがとうございました！
今度はキャンプウエディングを企画されている、お二人さま。
こちらも楽しみですね。

We had an on location wedding photography in Nijo Castle for Riku-sama and Noriko-sama on July 14th.
They could take enough time for the shooting as “Seiryu-en” and “Koun-tei” which usually are not open to the public were reserved for them.
Even the rain stopped just before shooting as if the weather was also celebrating the couple.
We would like to thank their family for attending the photography.
The couple are planning to have a “Camp Wedding”.
That sounds fun!
We would like them to bring some wedding photos to the camping site!

京都では祇園祭の季節を迎え、通勤の道すがら山鉾を建てている様子を目にします。
「コンチキチン」とお囃子の練習をする音が聞こえたり、
あちらこちらで山鉾が建てられていったり。
京都生まれではない私にとって、祇園祭は準備からすべてが新鮮で
何度この季節が訪れても「あ〜京都にいるんだなぁ」とワクワクした気分にさせてくれます。
日常の中で伝統に触れられる京都に住む幸せを感じながら、
明日は完成した山鉾を見上げてみたいと思います。

Here in Kyoto, it’s a season of “Gion Matsuri (festival)” and I see the people setting up “Yamaboko” on the way to work.
I can also hear the festival music, the symbolic percussion sound “Kon-chiki-chin”, and see more “Yamaoboko” being built here and there.
As I was not brought up in Kyoto, most of what I see about “Gion Matsuri” are new to me.
Every summer, “Gion Matsuri” makes me realize that I’m in Kyoto and feel exciting.
I would like to look up finished “Yamaboko” tomorrow while feeling happiness of living in Kyoto where you can find traditional things in everyday life.

下鴨神社挙式後、高台寺土井さんでの挙式・披露宴をなされましたS様ご夫妻。
当日の天気予報は雨。それでも支度室…そして披露宴会場とてるてる坊主の「照男」と「照子」を飾ると見事にお天気に恵まれ、雨が一滴も降らないという奇跡がおこりました。
お二人とも三重県にお住まいで、毎回5時間かけてお打ち合わせにお越し下さっていました。
遠方よりお越し頂く親族様に「京都らしさを感じて頂きたい」と工夫をこらした、心温まるご披露宴でした。
今日は、三重県でのご友人様とのパーティ、
きっとお二人の輝く笑顔が会場全体に広がり、皆様を幸福な気分にされていらっしゃることでしょう。
お祝いに駆け付けたい気持ちをぐっとおさえ、
ささやかながら、フローリストと相談してお二人をイメージした
お花を贈らせて頂きました。
喜んで下さると幸いです。

Mr.and Mrs. S have got married at Shimogamo shrine, and then had their wedding reception at “Kodaiji Doi” ryoutei restaurant.
Although the weather report of the day was “rainy”, thanks to their hand-made “teruteru bozu couple” dolls they brought to the shrine and the restaurant with them, it didn’t rain at all.
They traveled five hours from MIE prefecture every time they had a meeting with us to prepare the wedding in Kyoto.
They wanted to arrange the wedding in the way that their guests can feel real “Kyoto”, because the guests are also traveling long distance to attend their wedding. And it turned out to be really heart warming, fantastic ceremony.
They must have fun at another wedding party with friends in their hometown today.
I’m sure that their shining smiles are making everybody attend the party happy.
I barely managed to stay in Kyoto and sent them flowers which our florist and I carefully selected for them.
I hope they will love them.
