週末、同志社礼拝堂にて挙式、そして料亭左阿彌さんにてご披露宴をサポートさせて頂きました。
新婦のさっちゃんは、私の親戚です。
幼いころに会って以来、25年という長い年月を経て偶然この京都で再会しました。
礼拝堂に響き渡るオルガンの音色とともに、郁夫おじさんとさっちゃんが入場する姿に、目の奥が熱くなり、白い手袋で押さえながら見守りました。
LSTで働く私と、新郎かずきさんの母校である日本最古のレンガ造りのチャペルに心惹かれたお二人との運命的に引き合わせられたご縁に心から感謝しています。
かずきさん、さっちゃん、本当におめでとう！
この一日がお二人にとっての第一歩！

A WEDDING CEREMONY
I supported a wedding ceremony performed at the chapel in “Doshisha University” and a reception held at Saami ryoutei restaurant last weekend.
The bride was my relative, “Sacchan”.
I met her again here in Kyoto after 25years since our childhood.
When I saw my uncle “Ikuo” and Sacchan entering the chapel with the music played by organ, I was on the verge of tears and had to wipe my eyes with my white gloves.
I am so grateful for the “Goen (=fate)” that brought us together to the oldest brick chapel in Japan.
The groom, “Kazuki-san” graduated from Doshisha University, and he and Sacchan were attracted to this chapel as a venue for their wedding.

I was so happy that I could be with you on such special day.

To meet actual requests from our clients, we are offering exclusively designed “Shiromuku (all white kimono)” and “Irouchikake (kimono with colors & patterns)” for the wedding at Kamigamo Shrine.

1月15日、京都伝統伎芸振興財団の創立20周年の式典に
参加させていただきました。
財団の愛称は「おおきに財団」さん。
おおきに財団では、京都の花街が誇る、文化・伝統の保存・継承をされており、
京舞、雅楽、茶道など、人々に文化を肌で感じていただけるような事業を
行っておられます。
式典の中では「137億年の宇宙から見た京都」というテーマの
講演をお伺いすることも出来、とても貴重な経験でした。

京都の文化を支えられている方々が多くご参加されていました

KYOTO TRADITIONAL MUSICAL ART FOUNDATION
I attended “20th anniversary” of Kyoto Traditional Musical Art Foundation on January 15th.
The foundation is called by the nickname “Ookini Zaidan”, and they preserve and inherit the culture and tradition of the Hanamachi (“flower town” or “geisha district”).
They organize various performing events and activities in the categories such as “kyoumai (= dance)”, “Gagaku (= music)” and “Sado (= tea ceremony)” to provide the opportunity for the people to feel Kyoto culture.
I could attend a lecture titled “Kyoto, from the perspective of 13.7billion years history of the universe” which was planned as a part of the anniversary ceremony.
It made such a special experience for me.
This experience motivated me to spread Japanese culture and beauty in depth not to mention Kyoto culture, and also the mindset of “OMOTENASHI” through our wedding service.

Every year, I look forward to “nenga-jo (=new year’s greeting cards)” from our clients.
And the pleasure of having them grows stronger as the years go by.
“We are displaying lots of our wedding photos and still enjoying a feeling like a newly married couple.”
“Although we are arguing almost every day, we never forget our special day!”
“We have a new member in our family, and are struggling to be a good mom and dad.”

NEW YEAR’S PRAYER
Today, the staff of LST Kyoto, LST Tokyo and Furniture shop “LST BOTAN” altogether visited Kamigamo shrine.
After completed a big event of every 21years “Shikinen-Sengu” last year, the premises was filled with a holy atmosphere.
We were specially allowed to attend the prayer right in the center of the main sanctuary.
We once again recognized the fact that we are planning the wedding ceremonies to be performed at such a historical place and working as a publicist for the shrine.
“Please do your best with your nice smiles this year too”; the warm words of people from Kamigamo shrine encouraged and motivated us a lot.
At the beginning of the year, we would like to refresh ourselves and make a good start to work.

GRATITUDE
There are a few more days left till the end of this year.
All of LST staff would like to express our gratitude for that we were given so many opportunities to support our clients’ wedding in 2015 again.
In September, we tried our new challenge and were able to hold “LST OATSURAE-TEN” in Paris successfully.
We could introduce Japanese wedding ceremony along with the wedding costume to foreign people.
And it became a good opportunity that reminded us of the wonderfulness of the wedding.
We would like to try our best next year as well, by improving our planning skill so that we can make our client couples and their wedding guests happy.

FITTING EVENT FOR KIMONOS AND WIGS, AND WESTERN HAIR STYLE
Today at LST Wedding Kyoto, “Fitting event for kimonos with wigs and western hair styles” was held.
It is one of our popular events at which you can try “Uchikake (Japanese Wedding Gown)” with wigs and also western hair style.
The lady of the photo is going to get married next July.
She came to the event with her future husband and her mother.
The bride’s mother and the groom are both very good at taking photos.
It was like a special photo session held for the bride!
Her standing posture in kimono was so beautiful and she also looked great wearing the wig.
We are looking forward to see her on their real wedding day.
There will be another fitting event on Sunday, 24th January 2016!

FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Ms. S who had got married with our service last December visited us at LST salon.
Chihiro-chan, who was in her mom’s tummy at the wedding is now eight months old already.
Her cute round face made us happy.
We were happy to hear that they are still talking a lot about the good thing about their wedding
and their grandfather told them that their wedding ceremony was the best ever.
And it was a delightful surprise that they remembered so much details about the day; from the movie played during the reception, a hair stylist to the MC.
