They look overpoweringly beautiful.

立春を過ぎ、暦の上では春ですね。

LSTでも春を感じていただけるような
明るいお色の着物のスタイリングをご提案いたしております。

こちらの色打掛は、桂 由美さんがデザインされた色打掛。

「ヒワグリーン光琳鶴」
“HIWA-GREEN KORIN-TSURU”

• グリーンの生地にピンクの桜・鶴・金糸・御所車。
  　掛下はオレンジのしぼりで、おめでたい宝づくしの刺繍入り。
• “Pink cherry blossoms”, “cranes”, “gold thread” and “Gosho-guruma” patterns on the green base.
  “Kakeshita (the kimono to be worn under ‘uchikake’)” is orange colored “shibori (tie-dyed fabric)” with embroideries of auspicious treasure motives.

• 小物合わせ
  花柄の刺繍襟と、レトロ柄の懐剣と筥迫（はこせこ）の組み合わせ。
• Accessory cordination
  Flower embroidered collars and a dragger with retro design case and matching “hakoseko (ornamental pocket book)”.

THE FASHION-COORDINATION OF KIMONO IN SPRING

It has passed “Risshun (the first day of Spring)” , so it is already Spring on the calendar.

At LST, we are proposing some Kimono styles in light colors with Spring feeling.

This “Iro-uchikake” is designed by Yumi KATSURA.

Normally, a white “Kakeshita” is worn with “Iro-uchikake”, but we found it’s more interesting.

We will keep proposing our original kimono coordination so that you can enjoy more to wear kimono.

昨日、料亭左阿彌さんでウエディングフェアを開催させて頂きました。

今回は「春」のようなあたたかさや爽やかさを感じていただける様会場コーディネートをはじめ、LSTならではの視点で和のご結婚式や演出のご提案をさせて頂きました。

THE WEDDING FAIR AT SAAMI RYOUTEI RESTAURANT

Yesterday, we held a “Wedding Fair” at Saami ryoutei restaurant.

This time, we proposed unique and original style of Japanese wedding reception along with the table and room decorations which gave a touch of Spring warmth and freshness.

Our “Hikigashi (souvenir sweets for the wedding guests from the host)” or “gift” suggestion were selected among very popular sweets in Kyoto.

The meal tasting is an important event for the bride and groom-to-be as they can have the meal in their guest’s position.

We are happy that we found many good response to our questionnaire like followings;
“The meals were so delicious, more than what we had expected.”
“Both the quality and quantity exceeded our expectation. They worth more than price.”

This “Wedding Fair” has been held more than 10years, twice a year in summer and winter since 2004.
It gives us, all the staff of LST, a chance to think what the most important thing for our job is.

“To make the wedding ceremony more beautiful, fun and precious moment”

We will try our best to make our clients happy though our planning service.

2月7日、同志社大学にて下見相談会を開催させていただきました。

昨年に引き続き、今回もたくさんの新郎様、新婦様、
そしてご家族様がお越しくださいました。

ちらほらと雪が降るなかではございましたが
ご来館いただきました皆様、本当にありがとうございます。

その時の様子を…少しご紹介させていただきます。

• 重要文化財に指定されている「クラーク記念館」にて
  同志社ウエディグについての概要説明がございます。
• In “The Byron Clark Memorial Hall” which is designated as a national important cultural property,
  the outline of the wedding plan was explained to the guests.

• その後、もう一つのチャペル「礼拝堂」に見学へ参りました。
• Later, they made a tour to another chapel “Reihaido”.

同志社の創立者「新島襄」は、桜よりも梅を愛したと言われています。
礼拝堂の前に植えてある白梅と紅梅。
見学に立ち寄った皆様を、出迎えているように感じました。

久しぶりに母校を訪れた新郎新婦様からは
「在学していた間、クラーク記念館は改装中だったため
初めて館内に入れた」と伺いました。

学生の頃からお付合いされているお二人。
大学生活を想い返しながら、お話しくださる表情からは
ご結婚式を楽しみにされている様子が伝わって参りました。

素敵な出会いに感謝しますと共に、
お二人のご結婚式をお手伝いできますことを
今から楽しみにしております。

WEDDING AT DOSHISHA UNIVERSITY “WONDERFUL ENCOUNTER”

On February 7th, we held an inspection and wedding consultancy meeting at “Doshisha University”.

Again, so many couples and their families participated in the event.

We would like to thank for those who came over in spite of the snowy weather.

I would like to give you a sneak peek of the event.

It is said that the founder of Doshisha, “Joseph Hardy Neesima” loved plum-blossoms rather than cherry blossoms.
In front of the chapel, red and white plum trees were planted.
They looked as if they were greeting the guests who visited there for inspection.

One couple who had graduated the university told me,
“When we were in University, “Clark Memorial Hall” was under repair work.
So it is our first time to step inside the building.”

They have been dating since their schooldays.
They recalled and talked about their college life each other, and I could see that they were really looking forward to their wedding.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to see them and looking forward to supporting their wedding ceremony soon!

「二条丸八」さんの展示会によせていただきました。

どれも見ごたえのある衣装がズラリと並んでいました。

• Uchikake collection named “National Treasure” which I was attracted most.
  The theme of the collection is “Momoyama and Keicho period” when a great number of gorgeous architecture was created.

• 「新婦様をはんなりと見せる、優しい打掛。
• A soft colored Uchikake which makes the bride look very elegant and pretty.

伝統を守りながらも、「今」を取り入れた、センスに
とても勉強になりました。

京都の文化・伝統やしきたりを守りつつ、
「わくわく」楽しんでいただけるような
結婚式のプランニングを行っていきたいと思います。

SALES EXHIBITION OF NIJO MARUHACHI

We visited a sales exhibition of “Nijo Maruhachi (=Bridal kimono manufacturer)”.

There was an abundant line-up of gorgeous wedding costumes (kimonos).

I learned a lot from their style which they adopt the latest trend while they are preserving the tradition.

We also would like to plan weddings that our clients can enjoy while respecting the culture and tradition of Kyoto.

本日は節分の日ですね。
今年も「京料理さくらい」さんから巻き寿司を頂きました。

関西発祥の文化として私自身は京都に来て初めて知りましたが
今ではスイーツなどにも広がり、この時期になると様々なものを見かけます。

しかし、やっぱり「福を巻き込む」という由来にちなんだ
この伝統的な太巻きを恵方に向かって黙々と頂くというのが
LST WEDDING の恒例行事になっています。

明日は立春。
新たな春を迎えます。

EHOU-MAKI

Today is “Setsubun”.
So we got “Ehou-maki” sushi roll from “Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)” as usual.

As the custom was originated in KANSAI area, I myself came to know it after I had moved to Kyoto.
Nowadays, it widely spreads even to the other categories than sushi (such as sweets), and we can find a variety of “Ehou-maki”.

However, at LST Wedding, it becomes our annual event to eat this traditional “Futo-maki” silently, facing “Ehou (=lucky direction of the year)”.

Tomorrow is “Risshun (=the first day of Spring)”, so another spring is coming.
We will provide sincere service to many client couples in this spring so that they can have happy smiles on their wedding day.

Thanks for the delicious “Maki-zushi (=sushi roll)”, Sakurai.

礼拝堂に響き渡るオルガンの音色とともに、郁夫おじさんとさっちゃんが入場する姿に、目の奥が熱くなり、白い手袋で押さえながら見守りました。

A WEDDING CEREMONY

I supported a wedding ceremony performed at the chapel in “Doshisha University” and a reception held at Saami ryoutei restaurant last weekend.
The bride was my relative, “Sacchan”.
I met her again here in Kyoto after 25years since our childhood.

When I saw my uncle “Ikuo” and Sacchan entering the chapel with the music played by organ, I was on the verge of tears and had to wipe my eyes with my white gloves.
I am so grateful for the “Goen (=fate)” that brought us together to the oldest brick chapel in Japan.
The groom, “Kazuki-san” graduated from Doshisha University, and he and Sacchan were attracted to this chapel as a venue for their wedding.

Kazuki-san and Sacchan, “Congratulations!”
That day was your very first step!
I was so happy that I could be with you on such special day.
Thank you.
