NEW SALON “KOTOBUKI DESIGN KYOTO”

We will open “KOTOBUKI Design Kyoto”, a new salon with “Kyo-machiya” style. (Kyo-machiya is a traditional wooden town house typically seen in Kyoto.)

At this salon, we will produce the wedding ceremony more beautifully and make it precious moment for the couple.
In here, we focus “dresses” as the wedding costume.

The salon will be mainly operated by the younger staff. We are excited to see what it will be like.

WITH THE PEOPLE FROM SAKURAI (RYOTEI RESTAURANT)

On 10th, we had a opportunity to have dinner with the people from “Kyo-ryori Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)”.
We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant along the Kamo River (Kamogawa) while watching the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Through conversation with Sakurai people, we could feel that they have always respected Kamigamo Shrine to a great extent and they will do so in the future.
And they also try their utmost to provide the best meals and service to make their client couples happy.

一部、満開な場所もありますが、
円山公園の桜はまだ５分咲きと
聞いております。

KYOTO IN CHERRY BLOSSOMS SEASON

Now the cherry blossoms are bloom in beautifully in Kyoto.

As the narration of the film says, we tend to spend more time watching the mobile screen on our palm recently.

However, I realize that I’m keeping my face up more (to look cherry blossoms) during this season of the year.

There are some spots where you can see the cherries already in full bloom, but the ones in Maruyama-Park are reported still half in bloom.

We hope you will come to enjoy more beautiful Kyoto with cherry blossoms.

We had a wedding inspection visit and consultation meeting at Doshisha University on 12th.

All the participants listened the explanation earnestly.

The wedding ceremony in the Chapel of Doshisha University is not flashy, but an authentic ceremony performed as a religious services.
So it should remain in one’s memory.

We have already received reservations for this Spring, and we will do our best to make the wedding wonderful.

FEEL SPRING

Now, it’s already March this year.
Every Thursday, we have new arranged flowers at LST Kyoto salon and we all look forward to having new flowers.

One of the flowers arrived today is “Sanshuyu (Japanese Cornel)” which signals the arrival of Spring. It is also called “Haru-kogane-bana (spring-golden-flower)” as the flowers in full bloom look like shining gold.

At the entrance, we have a stylish arranged flowers with “Sotetsu (Japanese Sago)” colored in red that look very attractive.

LST Japanese Style Wedding Fair at the World Heritage site Nijo Castle and Saami (Ryoutei Restaurant)

We held “LST Japanese Style Wedding Fair” at “the World Heritage Site Nijo Castle” and “Saami (Ryoutei Restaurant)” in Maruyama Park on the same day.

They left us nice remarks as follows.

“It helped me to visualize our wedding.”
“The meals were delicious and beautifully presented.”

We feel much gratitude for the opportunity given to us that we are able to support the weddings at such prestigious places which have long history.

Today is Setsubun, the day before the start of Spring according to the luna calendar.
Have you tried “Mame-maki (bean-throwing)?

We got “makizushi(=rolled sushi)” from “Kyo-ryori Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)”, a restaurant where our clients often use for their wedding reception.

It is believed that if you eat whole makizushi while facing “EHO (=lucky direction of the year)” on Setsubun evening, happiness will be brought to you.

Tomorrow is “risshun”, the first day of Spring in the Luna calendar.
We will continue our best effort to make our clients’ wedding ceremonies wonderful ones for the coming Spring.

THE GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AT NIJO CASTLE

The husband gave us a call a year and half ago said,
“I’ve been married almost 50 years and I would like to give a surprise wedding anniversary ceremony to my wife to express my gratitude to her. I’ve been given her so much trouble.”

Since then, we have been preparing with his daughter and grandchildren for long time.
And finally, on January 22nd, a surprise golden wedding anniversary was conducted.
With our “photography package at Nijo Castle”, it turned out to be a wonderful photography event with tears and laughter with their children and grandchildren.

I was moved by the grandchildren’s message, a thank you letter from the husband to the wife.
When I thought of their 50 years history, I felt their strong tie as a couple and a family.

It started with a telephone call from the husband, and now we are so grateful that we could help planning such a wonderful golden wedding anniversary.
We wish the couple and family a happy life full of smiles.

WEDDING AT KIFUNE SHRINE

We provided our service for a wedding conducted at Kifune Shrine.

On that day, the shrine was all covered in white snow and the air of early morning in silence was really mystical.

The couple who traveled from Tokyo joyously said,
“We are so happy that we chose Kinfune Shrine, as we can have our wedding surrounded by such beautiful snow which is only available at this time of the year.”

I was also filled with a sense of gratitude for that we could support the wedding held at such a beautiful shrine.
