1組の新郎新婦様のご結婚式のお手伝いをさせて頂きました。

香川県にて自転車屋さん（バイシクルショップ　クラウズ）を営むM様ご夫妻、
毎回お会いするたびにお二人のお人柄が伝わる素敵なご夫妻です。

舞台には岸先生が生けてくださった、
この日にピッタリの菖蒲のお花で華やかに演出。
（ご披露宴中にどんどん咲いていくのが見事でした！）

新婦ご家族様による家族バンド「Gフォースの皆様」
リハーサルもそこそこに、パッと楽器を持っても息ピッタリ！

舞台では、新郎新婦様による感謝の漫才をご披露
皆様に楽しんでいただきたいと、
お二人らしさ溢れるご結婚式でした。

笑いあり、涙ありのご結婚式。
きっと今日も自転車屋さんには
お二人の笑顔と笑い声が響き渡っていることでしょう。

A WEDDING CEREMONY

On May 5th, we helped a client couple to hold a wedding ceremony at Saami (ryoutei restaurant) which was surrounded by the bright fresh greens.

The couple, Mr. and Mrs. M, runs a bicycle shop in KAGAWA prefecture. Every time I met them, I was impressed with their personality.

Gorgeous Iris on the stage, arranged by KISHI-sensei, were perfect match for the ceremony.
(It was amazing to see the flowers bloomed gradually during the ceremony!)

The bride’s family members formed a band “G　Fours ” and they played very well in a perfect harmony even without enough time for rehearsal.

The bride and groom themselves performed “Manzai(=comic dialogue)” on the stage to entertain their guests.
It was really an unique wedding ceremony.

Their wedding was filled with laughter and tears.
I can imagine that they are now smiling and laughing a lot at their bicycle shop.

Congratulation on your wedding M-sama and S-sama!

5月15日は、京都の三大祭のひとつ「葵祭」がございます。

平安貴族そのままの姿をした総勢500名が
京都御所を出発しまして、1日がかりで下鴨神社･上賀茂神社へ
新緑がきれいな都大路を行列で歩きます。

その中で、京都のお祭りではかかせない「鯖寿司」を
京料理さくらいさんがLST京都店・東京店へ届けてくださいました。

古来より京都では、お祭りや晴れの日の食卓には鯖寿司が飾られており
京の町衆のご馳走といえば、「鯖寿司」といわれるほどです。

SABA-ZUSHI (ROD-SHAPED SUSHI TOPPED WITH MACKEREL)

The highlighted event of “Aoi-Matsuri”, one of the three most renowned festivals in Kyoto, takes place on May 15th every year.

The procession consists of over 500 people dressed in the costume of Heian nobles leaves Kyoto Gosho (=Imperial Palace) and heads for Shimogamo and Kamigamo shrine.
They walk through the main street lined with trees with fresh green leaves.

“Kyo-ryori Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)” kindly delivered Saba-zushi(rod-shaped sushi topped with mackerel) to LST Kyoto and Tokyo.
In Kyoto, Saba-zushi is served as an essential food for the festivals and celebrations. It has been a special treat for “Machishu (=merchant class) in Kyoto”.

We shared the Saba-zushi with all the staff of LST.
We could feel Okami-san and other staff of Sakurai’s warm hearts.

Today, we took photos of the rooms in Shokian.
Shokian is the former residence of Mirei SHIGEMORI, a famous landscape architect represents showa period.

At Shokian, they offer “Chakon-shiki” (= wedding ceremony with elements of traditional tea ceremony), or you can hold a wedding reception or a party with friends after having wedding ceremony at the other shrines nearby.

LST proposes the unique wedding style that fits for each couple.

THE 10TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

A couple who had got married and had a wedding reception at “Saami (ryoutei restaurant)” on April 21st, 2007
returned to Saami with their parents and a child to have anniversary meal.

Later, they sent us a picture with a warm message,
“We are so pleased that we have been feeling your hospitality since we had our wedding reception at Saami.
We were impressed with their modestly seasoned dishes that were all served in beautiful plates.”

It was a great pleasure for me to see them again years after I had supported their wedding.
It made me realize that I’m really lucky to have this happy job.
I want to thank them and I look forward to seeing them again on their 15th anniversary.

We will open “KOTOBUKI Design Kyoto”, a new salon with “Kyo-machiya” style. (Kyo-machiya is a traditional wooden town house typically seen in Kyoto.)

At this salon, we will produce the wedding ceremony more beautifully and make it precious moment for the couple.
In here, we focus “dresses” as the wedding costume.

The salon will be mainly operated by the younger staff. We are excited to see what it will be like.

WITH THE PEOPLE FROM SAKURAI (RYOTEI RESTAURANT)

On 10th, we had a opportunity to have dinner with the people from “Kyo-ryori Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)”.
We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant along the Kamo River (Kamogawa) while watching the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Through conversation with Sakurai people, we could feel that they have always respected Kamigamo Shrine to a great extent and they will do so in the future.
And they also try their utmost to provide the best meals and service to make their client couples happy.

Thanks for a lovely time, Sakurai.

KYOTO IN CHERRY BLOSSOMS SEASON

Now the cherry blossoms are bloom in beautifully in Kyoto.

As the narration of the film says, we tend to spend more time watching the mobile screen on our palm recently.

However, I realize that I’m keeping my face up more (to look cherry blossoms) during this season of the year.

There are some spots where you can see the cherries already in full bloom, but the ones in Maruyama-Park are reported still half in bloom.

We hope you will come to enjoy more beautiful Kyoto with cherry blossoms.

WEDDING IN DOSHISHA UNIVERSITY

We had a wedding inspection visit and consultation meeting at Doshisha University on 12th.

All the participants listened the explanation earnestly.

The wedding ceremony in the Chapel of Doshisha University is not flashy, but an authentic ceremony performed as a religious services.
So it should remain in one’s memory.

We have already received reservations for this Spring, and we will do our best to make the wedding wonderful.

FEEL SPRING

Now, it’s already March this year.
Every Thursday, we have new arranged flowers at LST Kyoto salon and we all look forward to having new flowers.

One of the flowers arrived today is “Sanshuyu (Japanese Cornel)” which signals the arrival of Spring. It is also called “Haru-kogane-bana (spring-golden-flower)” as the flowers in full bloom look like shining gold.

At the entrance, we have a stylish arranged flowers with “Sotetsu (Japanese Sago)” colored in red that look very attractive.
