お写真を拝見させて頂きながら当日のことを思い出しました。
ご結婚式の直前までお天気が心配でございましたが 当日はお天気になり
楽しみに頂いておりました 清水寺さんから左阿彌さんまで人力車にてご移動頂くことができましたこと本当に良かったです。
そして新婦様の色打掛のお姿、本当によくお似合いで可愛かったです！
初めてご相談のご連絡をいただいてから、ご結婚式までの約3か月、
あっという間でございましたね。

GETTING MARRIED AT KIYOMIZU-DERA TEMPLE, KYOTO
I received an email from the couple in Tokyo who had got married at Kiyomizu-dera Temple
and had a wedding reception at Saami (ryoutei restaurant) on December 9th last year.
They wrote me while they were on a honeymoon.
In the photo attached to the email was a lovely couple with the beautiful aurora.
I liked it so much and it reminded me of their wedding day.
We were worried about having rain until the last minute,
but it turned out to be great weather and they enjoyed the ride on JINRIKISHA from Kiyomizu-dera Temple to Saami ryoutei restaurant.
I was so happy to see it as the couple was really looking forward to it.
And the bride looked so pretty in Iro-uchikake (the colored wedding kimono)!
The three months have passed so quickly since we had first received an inquiry from the couple.
I really appreciate the “GOEN (encounter)” and I am so thankful that we could support their wedding.

NEW YEAR’S PRAYER AT KAMIGAMO SHRINE
Today, LST Kyoto and Tokyo staff together visited Kamigamo Shrine for the New Year’s prayer.
After the prayer, we listened Guuji (the chief priest)’s talk.
He explained the origin of “Shinto Wedding” and the meaning of the wedding ceremony.
We also learned about “KOKORO (=spirit) of Shikinen Sengu” which we, Japanese really value.
New Year’s prayer is an annual event for LST staff and it gives me sobering effect at the beginning of every year.
We would like to introduce the magnificence of the wedding ceremony at Kamigamo Shrine and the the excellence of Kyoto wedding to everyone.

GRATITUDE FOR 2017
2017 is ending in a few days.
All the LST staff is thankful for “GOEN(=encounters)” that we could meet so many brides and grooms and provide our service to them.
We launched a couple of new service this year.
“Kotobuki design” helps the couples to prepare original wedding ceremony in their own style, and with “T&design” we starting rental service of wedding kimonos for the brides.
For next year onward, we will keep trying to provide best service to each client couple to make it as a very warm and memorable day for the couples, families and guests.
In 2018, we will start our business on January 4th.

The couple entered in the family register on the same day a year ago.

Saami is a traditional Japanese restaurant (=ryoutei) and very popular venue for the wedding reception after the couples get married at shrines or temples, or Nijo Castle.

MEETING THE CLIENT AGAIN AFTER ONE YEAR
One of our client couples visited our Kyoto salon the other day.
They got married at Yasaka Shrine and had a wedding reception at Saami (ryoutei restaurant) with our service on October 30, 2016.
We had a talk remembering their wedding day.
They made us so happy by telling
“We could have such a wonderful wedding, that’s why
we have been loving and caring for each other to date.”
Their words reflected their wonderful personality.

THE CHRISTMAS TREE IN DOSHISHA UNIVERSITY
There is a Hymalayan Ceder Christmas tree on Doshisha Imadegawa campus.
It is such a big tree so it attracts a lot of people’s attention on campus at this time of the year.
It can be seen even from the Karasuma street.
When I was an University student there, I always looked forward to seeing the tree to be illuminated every year.
It is open to the public, so why don you come and see the tree?
