「清水寺」さん
夜間拝観最終日にLSTスタッフと参りました。
紅葉はクライマックスとても綺麗でした。

ご本堂に参った時、偶然私たちしかいなく、
観音さまに静かに手を合わすことが出来ました。
お蝋燭に照らされた観音さまのお顔がとても優しく見受けました。

わずかな時間でしたが、
ゆったりと過ごす事ができました。

静かな時間を持つこと、
美しいものを直接自分の目でみること、
忙しいわたしたち現代人に
とてもたいせつな事と感じました。

KIYOMIZU-DERA TEMPLE

I went to Kiyomizu-Dera Temple on the final day of the Autumn leaves light-up event.

The colored leaves were at its best and so beautiful.

When we visited the main hall, there were no visitors except us and we could pray quietly.
The face of Goddess of Mercy lit up by the candle looked very gentle.

We could have a relaxing time though it was just for a short while.

I felt that it was very important for the busy modern people like us to spend some time in quiet peace and
to admire something beautiful with our own eyes.

A WEDDING AT DOSHISHA BYRON CLARK MEMORIAL HALL & GION DOI

There was a wedding reception at Gion Doi.

The door of the banquet hall opened, and the instant the groom stepped his foot into the hall, he looked up the ceiling.

The couple proceeded toward the main table slowly, warmly applauded by all the guests attending at the reception.

The groom looked so overwhelmed by joy and the bride just watched him tenderly.
We felt that they were really a lovely and ideal couple.

たいせつなご結婚式の前に　気になるのが当日のお天気。
天気予報とにらめっこされる新郎新婦様も　多いのではないでしょうか。

そんな中いっさい、天気予報を見ない新郎様がいらっしゃいました。

理由を聞くと「予報では晴れていたのに、雨が降った」と新婦様が悲しむ姿を
見たくないからとおっしゃられました。

新婦様からは新郎様のことを「全てにおいて男前」と伺っていましたが
納得致しました。

さて、そんなやりとりがあり　当日を迎えました。
そんなお二人の結婚式には絶対雨は降らないだろうと思っていたのですが
まさかの雨。。
お会いするなり「雨が降ったー」と残念そうな新婦様。

しかし　お支度が始まり　神社へご出発の時には見事に雨もあがり
挙式時間になると真っ青な青空が広がった婚礼日和になりました！

新婦様の溢れる笑顔、一層輝き　素敵でした。

新郎様の新婦様への想いは　天にも届くのですね。
さすが全てにおいて男前な新郎様。

THE REASON WHY I DON’T CHECK THE WEATHER FORECAST

The weather on the wedding day is what many couples are worried about.
I suppose many “brides and grooms-to-be” are checking the weather forecast every day.

But I met one groom who never checked the weather forecast.

When I asked the reason, he said that he didn’t want to see his bride disappointed.
The bride would be really sad if the weather report was off, so they decided never to see it.

Then I agreed to the bride’s words that “he is really handsome in all aspects”.

After a while, it became their wedding day.
I thought it would never rain on this couple’s wedding day, but it was raining…
As soon as I met the bride, she uttered “It’s raining…” regretfully.

But the rain stopped by the time when they left for the shrine after they got dressed, and when the wedding ceremony began, it became clear blue sky.
A perfect weather for a wedding!

It made the bride’s smile brighter, so beautiful.

The groom’s feeling for the bride seemed to reach the high above sky.
So he is the man, a handsome guy in all aspects.
I took off my hat to him.

  思わず笑みがこぼれる、かわいらしいリクエストがたくさん書かれていました。
• “We shall visit Chion-in Temple on our wedding anniversary”
  and, “Please take me to Ristorante Strada after that.”
  It was full of cute requests so I couldn’t help smiling.

A WEDDING AT CHION-IN & STRADA

Recently, I served a couple who had their wedding at Chion-in Temple and then a reception at Ristorante Strada.

They both cared for each other and prepared the surprise program.
So I was really looking forward to their wedding day.

The tune of the trombone at the stylish restaurant created exotic atmosphere.

I hope they are walking the long way ahead together, achieving their dream one by one.

LSTスタッフでお食事に行かせていただきました。

旬の食材を使った京料理は、一品一品がとても手の込んだもので、見た目も美しく、
どのお料理も絶品です。

そして、澄んだ空気・お庭の美しさ・大きな窓から差し込むやわらかな日差し。

A MEAL AT KYO-RYORI SAKURAI

We were invited by “Kyo-ryori Sakuai” to have a meal with other LST staff the other day.
Sakurai is located by the Myojin River in Kamigamo, Kyoto.

Every one of their dishes was meticulously prepared, beautiful and tasted superb.
We could also enjoyed fresh air, beautiful garden and the soft sun light coming through the big window.
It was such an extraordinary and luxury space and we could spend really wonderful, heart warmed moment thanks to Sakurai peoples’ sincere hospitality.

For the wedding reception at Sakurai, we can propose various coordination of the table cloth and flowers to meet the request of the brides and grooms to be.

“I want many couples to spend their special day of their wedding at Sakurai,” I really think so as a wedding planner.

I would like to thank Kyo-ryori Sakurai for such a wonderful meal.

THE LOCATION PHOTOGRAPHY AT LAKE BIWA CANAL

In Meiji period, “Biwako Sosui (Lake Biwa canal)” contributed the development of Kyoto.
This spring, they started the ship transportation on the canal again after 64years.

LST did photoshoot on the boat once in the Spring when the cherry and rape blossoms were at their best.
This Autumn, we are offering the chartered boat cruise and the location photography at Lake Biwa canal.

You will have a special time under the leaves which have just began to turned red in the retro atmosphere.
Currently, only November 15th (Thu) is available.

「清水寺」さん、
FEEL KIYOMIZUDERAのプロジェクトの一環として開かれた、
「祈り」を音楽を通して表現する演奏会
「call;音が聞こえる」に寄せていただきました。

場所は夜の「成就院」。
「月の庭」を背景に、ピアノ、ギターが即興で演奏されました。

静寂に包まれた空間、かすかな灯の中で
奏でられるひとつひとつの音が、
耳から入り、次第に心が浄化されていくのを感じました。

音楽もまた「祈り」と同じで目に見えなく、
心で感じるもの。
また、祈りを通して自分自身を見つめる時間だと私は思いました。

素晴らしい時間をいただきました。

KIYOMIZU-DERA TEMPLE – FEEL KIYOMIZUDERA

I went to the concert “call; you will hear the sound” at Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
It was held as a part of “FEEL KIYOMIZUDERA” project and they tried to express prayers in music.

The stage was set in “JOJUIN”.
There were improvisations on the piano and the guitar as the “Moon Garden” in the background.
I could feel that each sound played reached my ears and my heart was purified gradually.

Same as a prayer, the music was invisible and you can feel it with your heart.
And it gave me an opportunity to review myself while praying.
I really had such a wonderful time!

本日　神職様よりご招待いただき
上賀茂神社さんにて行われた「土俵入り」に拝見しに行ってまいりました

秋晴れの爽やかな青空のもとで　細殿の前には土俵が作られ
控室から土俵までの花道を　第71代横綱の鶴竜関が進まれると
大きな拍手と歓声が湧きあがりました

たくさんの方々に見守られる中　鶴竜関が土俵入りを奉納
土俵入りには「邪気を払う」という意味合いがあるそうです

横綱はTVで見るより　はるかに大きく　迫力がございました

上賀茂神社さんと土俵入りの歴史も伺い
改めまして上賀茂神社さんの偉大さを感じたひと時でした
ご招待いただきましてありがとうございました

DOHYO-IRI

Today, I went to see the “Dohyo-iri (=Sumo wrestler’s ceremonially entrance into the ring)” at Kamigamo Shrine to which I was invited by the shinto priest.

Under the Autumn clear blue sky, as the 71st Yokozuna “Kakuryu” proceeded the “hanamichi” passage from the ante-room to “Dohyo (ring)”built in front of the Hosodono,
he got big cheers and applause.

While a lot of people were watching, Kakuryu dedicated his “Dohyo-iri”.
It is said that “Dohyo-iri” has the power to drive out the evil spirits.

And I found that Yokozuna was far big and powerful than I usually see on TV.

The history about the “dohyo-iri” at Kamigamo Shrine made me realize the greatness of Kamigamo Shrine once again.
I really appreciate that they invited me.

A MEETING WITH A CHEF

Today, we had a meeting at “Ristorante STRADA” where one of our clients will have a wedding reception next weekend.

The Chef himself attended the meeting so we could directly told him about the couple’s requests and thoughts.
Then we also discussed the details with the restaurant such as the program of the day and the timing of the meals to be served.

“Ristorante STRADA” is a stylish venue facing Oike Street.
We are really excited to see how wonderful wedding reception it will be!
