On February 2, 2020,
We will hold “Winter Wedding Fair” at Saami Ryoutei Restaurant which is located in Maruyama Park in Higashiyama.
It is one of the most popular venue for the wedding reception in Kyoto.

It’s a big event we hold just twice a year!

“I would like to have a wedding which can be done only in Kyoto”
“We would like to express our gratitude to all the guests with our ‘Omotenashi (hospitality)'”.
“We want to make our wedding that no one has ever seen before”.

Contents
The tasting of Kyo-kaiseki dishes (Kyoto’s traditional local cuisine)/Inspection of the table setting and the room decoration

LST WEDDING

BENI-SASHI (COLOR OF THE BRIDE’S LIPS)

On the wedding day, the bride’s mother put a color on her daughter’s lips.

With a thought “Wish her full of happiness”,the mother who had gave birth to her daughter and brought her up over the long years finished her dressing up as a bride.

I attended a wedding the other day.
Following the bride’s mother, the groom’s mother took a brush to color the bride’s lips.
“Welcome to my family.”

Even though I didn’t understand the foreign language, I could feel that she was trying to express something like that.

WEDDING FAIR AT SAAMI RYOTEI RESTAURANT

We held a wedding fair at Saami (ryoutei restaurant) on Sunday, August 11th.
We appreciated that we had a large number of guests despite the heat.

In front of the elevator, “Shiro-muku (all white wedding kimono)” of LST Design Kimono and flowers in the large vase welcomed the guests.

Seifu-den room
Seifu-den in beautiful sunlight entering through the large windows.
The pale flowers in contrast with the dark colored cloth is our table coordinate suggestion for this spacious room.

Ballroom
For the ballroom which can accommodate 100 guests, we suggest the bright colored table cloth and chair cover with the cool glassware arranged in Japanese style.

Choju-den room
Choju-den room can accommodate up to 38 guests.
We decorated the room for the civil wedding.
Green leaves are placed along with the virgin road and a wedding dress from MARIE CLASSE is displayed.

We presented our proposals for the MC, coordination of the room, film direction and gifts. with supports from our partner companies so that the guests can imagine their own wedding easily.

And the meals by Saami ryoutei restaurant was so popular and received great comments like
“I’m really looking forward to my own reception.”
“I’ve never had such a delicious meal before.”

We would like to express our gratitude for the cooperation from Saami ryoutei restaurant and partner companies, and for the guests who came to the fair.

TENNO-SHO (Emperor’s prize)

The groom was a horse-racing fan.
And their wedding day happened to be the day of “Tenno-sho (Emperor’s prize)” race.
So, we included it in the program of the wedding reception.

The groom was worried whether the guests can enjoy it…
It turned out that everyone got so excited with their tickets held in their hands!

I saw the smiley faces when the race started, shown live on TV monitor…
But after the final corner….they changed to more serious look!

They prepared a ticket even for me. How kind!
It was my first time horse race betting and I won!
So were their parents!

The bride and groom, all the guests and a planner (myself) had a lot of fun at the wedding reception.

I always try to produce an unique wedding for every couple while enjoying the process together.

CARNATION BOUQUET

As the couple’s wedding was two days before “Mother’s Day”, the bride and groom prepared bouquets made of the same number of carnations as each mother’s age.

They were big bouquets of crimson carnations. Their mothers must have admired them at home while recalling the childhood of bride and groom and also their great figure on the wedding day.

I thought I could hear the bride’s voice saying “To my dearest mom, with a thousand of apologies and a million of thanks”.

LST WEDDING

THE PHOTOGRAPHS OF HAPPY MOMENT

We received the beautiful wedding pictures from one of our client couples who got married at Imamiya Shrine on the bright sunny day in May.

They first contacted us after seeing a picture of another couple having their wedding ceremony in Paris wearing LST Kimono.

The groom is a photographer and the bride is a designer. This stylish couple lives in Tokyo.

Imamiya Shrine is the place where they visited when he proposed marriage to her.

At their wedding, the groom himself set up the big tripod for the photography.
It was an unusual scene but very unique and special. The guests were watching admiringly while the groom was working as a photographer. They all shared the pleasant moment.

I realized again that every scene and moment are so precious that we should save them by taking photographs.

HAPPY EXPERIENCE

I provided the service at their wedding ceremony and reception on May 4th.

It was about a year ago when I first met the couple to help them to choose their wedding kimono.

We were so thrilled when we spotted our names in the booklet they handed to their guests at the reception.
It was such a great surprise and I was about to cry.

We really enjoyed serving the couple every time they visited us for the meeting or for the fitting of the costume.

They even handed me a heartfelt letter after the wedding and I really appreciate that.

They are such a great couple and I wish them a long and happy marriage.

GION DOI

A couple who had got married on May 8th, 2011 returned to “Gion Doi” to enjoy the meal with the whole family.

It has past nearly 8years since they had got married.
It was great to hear that they will have their third child soon.

REUNION

I met a lady at Saami ryoutei restaurant.
I had supported her wedding ceremony seven years ago.

When our eyes met, my feet moved to approach her even before my brain recognized it was her.
The baby who was still in her tummy at that time has now grown big.

“Who is she?” asked the child.
And she explained “When daddy and mommy got married, she helped us a lot.”

What a pleasure!!

I am so grateful that we could get the chance to support their precious family’s wedding as well.
