4月4日に二条城・料亭 左阿彌さんでご結婚式のサポートをさせて頂きました新婦様と新婦様のお母様がお越しくださいました。
とても嬉しいプレゼントまで頂き、本当にありがとうございます。
お父様が当日撮影くださった写真も入っているスナップアルバムもお持ちくださり、3か月前を懐かしくお話しさせて頂きました。

BANQUET WITH CHERRY BLOSSOMS
A lady who had a wedding ceremony and reception with our service at “Nijo Castle” and “Saami (ryoutei restaurant)” on April 4th visited us with her mother.
They kindly brought us a wonderful gift which was greatly appreciated, and we had a really good time talking about their wedding while watching the photos taken by her father on the wedding day.
The title of the album was “Hana no En (Banquet with Cherry Blossoms)”.
Having a wedding ceremony at Nijo Castle was what the bride had really longed for! We are so happy to read a letter from her, saying that all the guests appreciated the ceremony at beautiful Nijo Castle with fully bloomed cherry blossoms.
It is our great pleasure to be able to spend a good time with our clients even after the wedding. We are so thankful for the opportunity that we could serve them.
We wish S-sama and Y-sama a lifelong happiness and hope the two families prosper for many years to come.

GREETING FOR SUMMER
The chef of “Kyoryouri Kinobu” brought us “Hamozushi (sushi with conger)” as a gift for summer.
“Hamo (conger)” is one of the most popular summer dish in Kyoto and everyone eats “Hamo”.
Every summer, he visits us to give a greeting for summer with their “Hamozushi”.
We could taste summer of Kyoto slightly earlier than others.
Thanks for the special gift of “Hamozushi”, Kinobu.
We are really grateful for their hospitality.

幼稚園の先生をなされていらっしゃる新婦様。
招待状やその他ペーパーアイテムは、ひとつひとつが手作り。
紙をきって、のりで貼って・・の繰り返し。
その気の遠くなるような工程を踏んでの完成されたペーパーアイテムに感嘆しました。
そして当日、皆様にご用意頂いた席札は、皆様をお迎えした後、
名札として着用できるようにアレンジ。
ご両家の皆様が仲良くなれる場であって欲しいという願いが
こめられていました。
紫陽花の花言葉は、「一家団欒」「家族の結び付き」
小さな花びらが寄り集まって咲いている姿からつけられた、
そんな花言葉もご結婚式にピッタリですね。
私達スタッフにまでご用意頂き、本当にありがとうございました。

HYDRANGEA CORSAGES
The bride is a preschool teacher.
She made all the paper crafts including the invitation cards and other decorations by herself.
She cut and pasted paper parts one by one and repeat it many times.
I was so impressed with all the paper crafts created by her untiring efforts.
The seating order cards placed on the table could be used as a name tag so that both family members could get acquainted with easily.
The floral meaning of hydrangea is “happy family” or “the bonds with family” coming from its shape consists of many tiny flowers.
That makes a perfect match with the wedding ceremony.
We were so grateful for their consideration of preparing the corsages even for all the LST staff.

先日、4年前の6月に結婚式をされたY様ご夫妻が結婚記念日にLSTサロンへ
お越し下さいました。
Y様ご夫妻は毎年記念日にお越し下さるのでお会いするのは1年ぶり。
お子様の梓ちゃんも2歳になり、一段と女の子らしくなっていました。
お互いの子育てのお話や、日々のお話などをさせていただき
いつもあっという間に時間がたってしまうほど、楽しく嬉しい時間です。
- つみきは買うタイミングがなかったとのことで、お持ちでなかったようなので良かったです！。梓ちゃんも気に入ってくれたご様子でご自宅で遊んでいるお写真もお送りくださいました。
- We found it was a good choice as they had not bought any wooden blocks for Azusa yet. Later, they emailed us a picture of Azusa playing happily with the blocks at home and we could see that she liked them very much.
- そして挙式をされた豊国神社での恒例のお写真もお送りくださいました。
- They also sent us some pictures taken at Toyokuni shrine as usual.
Toyokuni shrine is the place where they got married.
メールには、「写真を編集していると少しは家族らしくなっていっているんでは
ないかなと思います」とのお言葉が。
家族としても歳を重ねながら成長していくんだと、胸に響くお言葉でした。
また来年お会いしましょう！とお約束できるY様ご夫妻に感謝の気持ちで
いっぱいです。
また来年元気な顔を見せに来てくださいね！心より楽しみにしております。

THE 4TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Y who had got married in June four years ago visited LST salon the other day.
They came back to see us on their anniversary every year. So it has been a year since I had met them last time.
Their daughter, Azusa turned to two years old and is grown to a pretty girl.
We enjoyed talking about each other’s everyday life and discussing how to raise our children, and the time passed by so quickly.
They wrote in the email that “When we looked all the pictures taken in the past, they show us that we are gradually becoming a family.”
I was impressed with this word realizing that the family is also growing every year.
We are so thankful to Mr. and Mrs. Y for coming back to see us every year.
It’s great to say “See you next year!” to each other.
We are looking forward to seeing you again next year, Mr. and Mrs. Y!

本日上賀茂神社さんに伺うと、境内に「茅の輪」が設置されておりました。
半年間の穢れを祓い、次の半年の無病息災を祈願して
毎年6月に行われる行事です。
「水無月の夏越祓いする人は千歳 （ちとせ）の命（いのち）延（の）ぶと言うなり」
と唱えながら作法に従ってくぐります。
茅の輪を見ると本格的な夏が近付いてきたことを感じますね。
深い歴史に思いを馳せながら、是非皆さまもくぐってみてください。

CHINOWA KUGURI
I found “CHINOWA (=a large ring made of dried grass)” was set in the garden of Kamigamo shrine today.
They have “CHINOWA KUGURI” in June every year to purify the impurities of the first half year and praying for the health and safety for another half year.
People should walk through the ring “CHINOWA” in traditional manner and chanting the phrase “Minazuki-no nagoshibarai-suru hitowa chitose no inochi nobuto iunari” which means “it is said the one who purify oneself in summer will gain very long life.”
When I see “CHINOWA”, it always reminds me that summer is just around the corner.
Please try “CHINOWA KUGURI” and think of the long history of this event.

A LETTER FROM OVERSEAS
We received a wonderful “thank you” letter from a client couple who had got married on March 19th with our service.
The groom is brought up in the USA since he was very little and the bride is American.
They had a civil wedding and a reception at Saami ryoutei restaurant in traditional Japanese style which included San-San-Kudo (=drinking the nuptial cup).
They wanted to grant their family members’ wish to have them performed their wedding ceremony in traditional Japanese style.
In the letter, the bride also wrote a message in English.
She said “We were able to have a real Japanese wedding ceremony which we’ll never experience in the USA.”
We were so glad to know how they felt about the wedding.
Thanks so much.
We wish their wedding reception in the USA will become also great one as well.

FLOWERS FROM MY CLIENT
Recently I had my own wedding ceremony at Kamigamo shrine.
Today, I got a surprise gift of preserved flowers in a glass slipper from my client couple who came to our office for a meeting.
“We believe it must be a fate that you, our wedding planner, has got married while we are preparing our wedding with your help.” they said.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude for their warm kindness.
They are getting married soon, in June.
I’ll do my best to support their wedding.
