I visited “Yoshida-Sanso” the other day to support the photography there.

It has been well known as one of the buildings associated with Imperial family.
Built with all “Hinoki (=cypress)” in traditional Japanese architectural style, yet it has an elegant atmosphere created by the fusion of Japanese and Western taste such as the stained glass displayed on the wall.

From the banquet hall, you can view the garden full of green and admire pretty flowers of the season.

At Yoshida-Sanso, you can have a nice, relaxing time with your precious guests.
We recommend this place for the couples who wants to have their wedding at the authentic traditional Japanese house.

• She once lived in Kyoto, near Kamigamo-shrine, so knew about Kyoto very well.
  She looked great in Shiro-Muku (all white kimonos), her choice from our wedding costumes.

• そして、デート途中でお越しくださったフランス人カップルのお二人。
  彼女はアニメを通じて日本の文化に興味をもってくださり
  着物を着るのが夢だったととてもお喜び楽しんでいただきました。
• French couple who dropped in while they were having a date.
  She got interested in Japanese culture through cartoon, and she was so happy to wear kimono as it has been her dream for long time.

THE SECOND DAY OF OATSURAE-TEN IN PARIS

On the second day of OATSURAE-TEN, also many Parisians visited our exhibition and experienced Japanese culture.

We are so happy because far more people than we expected are visiting the exhibition.
“To make Japanese wedding ceremony more beautiful, fun and valuable moment”

• オープンしてすぐにお越し下さいました最初のお客様です。
• She is the first guest who visited the exhibition right after it started.

• 以前、ご旅行で東京にお越し下さいましたのをきっかけに京都の文化に興味を持たれ通りがかりに立ち寄って下さいました。
  まずはお抹茶と鶴と亀の紅白の干菓子にておもてなし。
• She has been interested in the culture of Kyoto ever since she had traveled to Tokyo.
  So she stopped by our exhibition when she was passing by.
  Firstly, we welcomed her with “Matcha (=green tea)” and “Crane and Turtle shaped kouhaku-higashi (Japanese traditional sweets)”.

• その後、お衣裳をご試着下さいました。
• After that, she tried our wedding costume.

たくさんのお客様が展示会の前で足をとめて下さり
日本の着物や文化・雰囲気にご興味をお持ち下さいました。
パリで展示会をさせて頂くことで初日から私たち自身も日本の結婚式の魅力をまた違う目線で感じることができました。

OATSURAE-TEN IN PARIS

“OATSURAE-TEN in Paris” has started today.

Displayed are Shiro-Muku (all white kimonos) and Iro-Uchikake (kimonos with colorful design) for the wedding at Kamigamo shrine, wigs of traditional hair style, and the panels illustrate the process of the shinto-style wedding ceremony.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to introduce “Japanese style wedding” to as many people in Paris as possible.

爽やかな澄んだ空気と涼やかな水の音はリゾート地に来た気分です。

WEDDING AT KIBUNE SHRINE

We supported a couple to get married at Kibune Shrine on 28th July.
The clean fresh air and cool sounds from the stream made me feel as if I was in some mountain resort.

It is worth having wedding ceremony at Kibune Shrine even though it is rather distant from Kyoto station and you need to drive for a while.
The weather is much cooler, usually 10℃ lower than in the center of Kyoto city.

Kibune Shrine has been venerating god of water and god of “good match” from the ancient time.
Surrounded by abundance of nature, you can having your wedding ceremony with feeling of the season.

秋の訪れを感じる夜となってまいりましたね。
21日、LST BOTANにて「箏と尺八を楽しむ会」を開催させていただきました。

平日の夜にも関わらず、たくさんのお客様がお越しくださいました。

演奏いただいたのは、古典曲「六段の調」から、現代曲「きびたきの森」、
葉加瀬太郎さんの「エトピリカ」など。
町屋の空間に、箏と尺八の音が響き渡っていました。

KOTO AND SHAKUHACHI CONCERT

The arrival of Autumn can be felt in the evening recently.
We held a concert of “Koto and Shakuhachi (Japanese harp and flute)” at LST BOTAN on 21st August.

We got many guests in spite of week day night.

The music played were classical “Rokudan-no-shirabe”, contemporary “Kibitaki-no-mori” and “Etupirka” by Taro HAKASE.

The sound of koto and shakuhachi was reverberating through the “Machiya (townhouses)”, a traditional wooden house of Kyoto.

We heard some good comments from the guests;

“This was the first time to listen koto and shakuhachi sounds. It was beautiful.”
“I enjoyed sitting in the lovely Machiya space.”
“I felt so comfortable surrounded by the wooden furniture.”

There will be an exhibition of wonderful textile by “Kanon” in September.

We would like to keep providing goods, space and time to make your everyday life better.

LST KYOTO SALON RENEWAL OPENING

LST Kyoto Salon reopened after renovation in the same building.
If you get off the elevator on the fifth floor, you will find the salon right in front of you.

Adjacent to the salon are the dressing room where our clients to be dressed on the wedding day and the photo studio.
The salon welcomes you to visit for the preparation of your wedding in advance and also for the use on your wedding day.

There is enough space for a groom or family members to wait for a bride while she is doing bridal makeup and hairstyle rehearsal with our stylist.

2004年から数えて今回で12年目の夏のフェアではLSTスタッフが力を合わせて
コーディネートや和の演出を提案させていただきました。

料亭左阿彌さんは女将さんをはじめ仲居さんも全員笑顔が素敵で円山の風情と御料理の評判が良い人気の料亭さんです。

RYOUTEI RESTAURANT WEDDING FAIR

We hold a ryoutei restaurant wedding fair at “Saami (ryoutei restaurant)” the other day.

It counted 12th summer since we had started the fair in 2004.
All the LST staff tried our best to propose Japanese coordination and presentation.

Saami is a ryoutei restaurant known for its superb meals and beautiful location in “Maruyama”.
And Okami-san (= madam) and all the staff always serve customers with nice smile.

We found many good comments in the answers to our questionnaire.

“I liked very Kyoto-style presentation.”
“The meals were so delicious!”
“I spent very good time feeling the atmosphere of the real wedding ceremony.”

EXHIBITION “LST OATSURAE-TEN” IN PARIS

We are going to have an exhibition named “LST OATSURAE-TEN PARIS” from 8th (Tue) to 14th (Mon) September in Paris.

It will have Shiro-Muku (all white kimono) and Iro-Uchikake on display and visitors can try the wedding costume with Katsura (hair wig).
We are going to exhibit some furniture from our shop “LST BOTAN” as well.

I am so thrilled to attend the exhibition as a Japanese style wedding planner.
It is the first time for me to introduce “WAKON (traditional Japanese wedding)” to the people in overseas and I am really looking forward to it.

PRE-WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Yesterday, we did a pre-wedding photography of one of our client couples at LST Gallery.
A groom in Tuxedo and a bride in the dress looked wonderful.

Actually, the couple is going to give these photos to their parents on their wedding day.
I can imagine their parents’ happy faces!

They are going to get married next month in civilian wedding style at Saami ryoutei restaurant.

We will prepare for the day to make it a memorable day for all of their family members.
