汲みに行かれるとお伺いいたしました。

WITH THE PEOPLE FROM “SAKURAI (RYOUTEI RESTAURANT)”

We had a good time with the people from “Sakurai” at “RYORIYA Stephan Pantel” today.

“Sakurai (ryoutei restaurant)” is located at Shake-machi of Kamigamo Shrine.
You can walk to “Sakurai” within several minutes after holding wedding ceremony at Kamigamo Shrine.
It’s a ryoutei restaurant which serves superb meals in refined atmosphere and one should be impressed with the gentle character of Okami-san (the madam) and the staff.

We heard that they go to Kamigamo Shrine to get “Kouyama-Yusui (natural water)” for the cooking of the meals for the wedding reception each time.
It represents their hospitality and we can tell that they want to make their guests as happy as possible.

Thanks for the wonderful time.
We look forward to working with “Sakurai” from now on too.

INSPECTION VISIT AND CONSULTATION MEETING FOR THE WEDDING AT DOSHISHA UNIVERSITY

Today, we held an “Inspection visit and consultation meeting” for the wedding at Clarke Chapel in Doshisha University.

All the LST staff would like to thank for the guests who came to visit the event.

The chapel must be full of memories of the school-days.
A wedding ceremony taken place in the solemn atmosphere surrounded by music from the pipe organ will certainly be unforgettable experience for the bride and groom, the families and the guests.

12月1日、京都老舗和菓子の「鼓月」さんが
洋菓子店「KINEEL（キール）」を寺町二条にOPENされました。

和菓子で培った技術を洋菓子に取り込み、
シンプルで美味しいお菓子をご提案されています。

• 一口サイズの「姫ケーキ」。
  たくさんの種類を食べたい女子心をよく掴まれています！
• “Hime Cake (=princess cake)”, a small, bite sized cakes.
  They know the girls’ mind very well that they want to taste as many kinds as possible.

• いただいた、フィナンシェ、小豆が入っていて
  とっても美味しかったです！
• “Financier” with red beans were really good!

• LSTで人気の引菓子、鼓月さんの「千寿せんべい」
• “Senju Senbei” by Kogetsu, a popular “hikigashi (souvenir sweets for the wedding guests)” among LST clients.

京都でお気に入りのお店がまた一つ増えました。

NEW CAKE SHOP “KINEEL” BY KOGETSU

“Kogetsu”, a long established Japanese confectionary opened a new western cake shop “Kineel” in Teramachi Nijo on December 1st.

They adopted the skills developed in the traditional Japanese confectionery to the western cakes and created simple yet tasty cakes.

I found another favorite shop in Kyoto.

  嬉しそうに新婦様を撮影される姿が印象的でした。
  レンズ越しに見るお孫さんの花嫁姿、おじいちゃんの目にはどのように写っていたのでしょうか。
• The grandfather’s hobby is photography and his joyful look of taking photos of his granddaughter was impressive.
  I’m wondering how the bride was seen through the camera by her grandfather.

撮影後に頂いたメールには

21年に1度の式年遷宮が行われている、上賀茂神社さん。

記念すべき時期に、演出家 宮本亜門さんによる
奉納劇「降臨 KOURIN」が公演されました。（23日〜25日）

• 上賀茂神社宮司さまと、宮本亜門さんのスペシャルトーク
• The special talk session by the chief priest of Kamigamo shrine and Amon MIYAMOTO.

• ご結婚式が行われている境内の細殿を舞台とし、神社のご祭神 賀茂皇大神（かもすめおおかみ）のご誕生のストーリーを、最新の映像表現と小雪さんの語りによりたいへんわかりやすく表現されていました。
• Hosodono which is also used for the wedding ceremony was the main stage of the play.
  The story of the advent of “Kamo-Sume-Okami”, the enshrined deity was presented in a way easy to understand by the state of the art visual technology and with the narration by Koyuki.

“KOURIN (=advent)”, A DEDICATORY PLAY FOR KAMIGAMO SHRINE

At Kamigamo shrine, they have been conducting “Shikinen-Sengu” this year.
It is taken place every 21 years.

On this very special occasion, a play titled “KOURIN (=advent)” directed by Amon MIYAMOTO was played for the dedication to the shrine.
(From October 23rd to 25th)

It was a moment that I strongly felt the magnificence of Kamigamo shrine, the oldest shrine in Kyoto.
And I realized the importance of the coexistence of human and nature at the same time.

APPLICATION STARTS FOR THE WEDDING AT THE WORLD HERITAGE, NIJO CASTLE

We held a bridal fair at the world heritage, Nijo Castle under the Autumn blue sky.
We would like to thank for those who joined the event.

The acceptance of the application for the wedding at Nijo Castle in 2016 has started.
During the wedding ceremony, guests will be welcomed by Gagaku (ancient imperial court music and dances) and Koto (Japanese harp) music.
At “Koun-tei (Tea-house)”, tables and chairs are in use for the comfort of the guests.

A nonreligious wedding ceremony at the World Heritage Site with Japanese hospitality.
It will be an unforgettable day for the couple, parents and other guests.

週末、高台寺 土井さんで、うれしい再会がございました。

今年の1月に土井さんでのご結婚式のサポートをさせていただきました、
H様、T様ご両家様、新婦様のお父様とお母様です。

連休を利用し、関東より土井さんにお食事にお越しくださいました。

今でも結婚式当日のことをよく思い出されるとのことで、
お母様の携帯電話の待ち受け画面は

A HAPPY ENCOUNTER

I had a happy encounter at “Kodaiji Doi (ryotei restaurant)” last weekend.
We met the parents of the bride who had got married with our service and held a wedding reception at “Kodaiji Doi” in January.
They traveled to Kyoto for holiday and visited “Kodaiji Doi” for a meal.
They said that they often recalled the wedding ceremony and the mother showed me the standby display of her cell phone which was a picture of the bride and groom.

We met the bride’s parents just once, only on their daughter’s wedding day, so it was surprising that they recognized our faces.
They told us “it was so important day for us, so we will never forget your faces.” in a gentle voice.
We could see that they raised their daughter with great care and how much they looked forward to her wedding.

Having talked to them, we really want to try our best to provide good service to our clients.
We want all the brides and grooms, their families and all invited guests to have happy smiles.

Last weekend, we held a “BRIDAL FAIR & CONSULTATION” at Doshisha University.

An authentic stately chapel.
The wedding ceremony with religious service is really impressive.

ご結婚式でお世話になっている、「高台寺土井」さんにご招待いただき、
「温習会」に寄せていただきました。

温習会では、京舞 井上流家元 井上八千代さんがご指導なさる、
芸舞妓さんが稽古の成果を披露され、
今年は舞妓22人を含む計85人の方がご出演されます。

• Kaburenjo Theater “Onshukai”

舞妓さんたちが団扇太鼓（うちわだいこ）を打ち鳴らす「太鼓踊り」で
幕が開きました。

舞妓さんたちの、色とりどりのお着物、優雅な舞、
地方さんの地唄やお三味線が特に印象深く心に残りました。

高台寺土井さん、貴重な経験をありがとうございました。

THE FIRST DAY OF ONSHUKAI AT GION KYOTO

I was invited to “Onshukai (dance recital by Maiko and Geiko)” by “Kodaiji Doi (ryoutei restaurant)” where we often reserve for our clients’ wedding reception.

At Onshukai, Geiko and Maiko who are leaning Kyomai (=Kyoto-style dance) from Ms. Yachiyo INOUE, a head of the school “Inoue-ryu” will present the achievement of their training.
This year, 85 performers including 22 Maikos will be on stage.

The stage opened with “Taiko-Odori (=drum dance)”, the sound of drums by Maikos beating “Uchiwa-Daiko (=prayer drum)”.

The colorful kimonos of Maiko, elegant movement, Jiuta (=song of local) by Jikata (=local region) and the sound of Shamisen (=three string Japanese guitar) were all so impressive and remained deep in my mind.

I would like to thank “Kodaiji Doi” for such a precious experience.
